Bro this model looks INCREDIBLE!!! Trust me.....Once the final version is completed and available for all, the praise and comments will make up for all the hard work. If anything (coz its LITERAL perfection) I can tell this is a slight variation of the original one. Perhaps could you try to replicate the original 2005 add on in terms of its design so it is to scale/ more accurate - I did hear how this has been done from scratch so I commend you on the current model and design - but with the updated textures and graphics for you’ve got on this one then I would go as far as to say the BBC should’ve hired you for the VR game 😂. This looks incredible! I’m so excited to see where this goes. However there are some very minor issues I have with this. Some of the controls on the console aren’t in the right spots, and the chair is on the wrong side of the room. Other then that this is amazing. I can’t wait to see where you take this project!
haha wow I honestly did not think anyone would notice. The objects on the console had to be moved around due to the need for the levers to be on a solid x or y axis in regards to the maps geometry. A frustrating limitation thats simply caused by a new(ish) engine with bugs. In regards to the chairs being moved, again, this is a geometry limitation and the difficulty involved in punching a hole through a model in a different direction. You're 100% correct in your identification of changes though, I don't know wether to be impressed or concerned haha.

Technically alyx. It's being made in preparation for GMod 2 which will run in the source 2 (alyx) engine so the two will be cross compatible.
