theres not a lot. we got a fairly decent way through importing assets and scripting NPC's (daleks and cybers) but pretty much decided to stop until we hear some news about S2 tool improvements. the amount of time it takes to make any decent progress with the tools as they are at the moment is just not viable. We are considering finally biting the bullet and switching to UE but are holding out for a bit longer to see what happens with S2.

This was all done in blender.

My little headcanon is that it's The Doctor's TARDIS flight manual for if he ever lost his memory (but it can only be accessed once the TARDIS is in flight {because The Doctor's so smart he's dumb sometimes}, which is why it's never seen/used)

Don't worry you're ABSOLUTELY not alone there, there is a reason the BBC keep brining him back LMAO, 10's regeneration absolutely crushed 6 year old me when I watched it when it aired but eventually 11 grew on me and ended up becoming my favourite doctor (his regeneration was so bad for me I couldn't go back to watching the show for a good year 😭)

@@cactusisez3505 Oh my. I can't imagine watching Ten's regeneration at the age of 6?? I'm 36 and it truly was one of the most painful TV moments I've ever had to watch. Easily entered the top 3. It really felt like I was mourning the character the days after. I didn't want to watch the following seasons (funny note: I actually started the show to see Matt Smith's performance). I ended up diving into season 5 then 6 to try and get something, anything, linking back to Ten (I cried when we got to see his old control room 😭), and because I knew he'll be coming back at some point. Gosh the first episode of season 5 felt like someone kept stabbing me right through the heart. Everything I knew was gone! New Doctor, new opening credits, new music, new screwdriver WHAT. I had no idea it changed that much with every Doctor, it was a shock lol. I hanged on Ten's suit Eleven is wearing the whole time until he finally changes at the end of the episode. And letting that suit go hurt SO VERY MUCH. But Eleven definitely did grow on me, too! The whole childish, fairytale vibe going around him actually mended my heart 💖 I did try to tell myself "nope don't get attached, he's gonna regenerate at some point and I won't be a wreck like for Ten" but LOL, Matt Smith's Doctor just steals your heart without asking. I just started season 7 and I'm dreading his regeneration, letting go of Ten was hell (and I don't think it's done yet because Four Knocks and Vale Decem still end me), I can't believe I'm gonna have to go through this again with Eleven. Sometimes I hate this show, the concept of relying on the character of the Doctor rather than a main actor is torture. And yet absolutely brilliant.

@@sherrinfords Yeah I remember my first thought of 11 when he just regenerated was that he looked like Mr Tumble for some reason?? but yeah it really does feel like grieving when a doctor regenerates I totally agree, and don't worry Four Knocks and Vale Decem will always make me teary eyed haha also as a side note Murray Golds music keeps getting better just wait until you hear 11 and 12's regenetation music, they're phenomenal!

there was only minor compositing done with cryptomatting and obviously AR scene blending. everything else was just done with camera tracking with BlendARTrack and VirtuCamera. Im not very happy with this video but its acceptable. I would have loved to spend more time on it but alas, time waits for no one.@@danielrolesu5000

where did you get that idea from?

it was mostly modelled by memory. some aspects such as the walls, pillars and some of the console details were either provided to me as reference images, or basic meshes that were modified.

please don't misunderstand the reasoning behind that, I did use a LOT of reference material for smaller details, but what I mean is that the overall design philosophy was to model it according to how fantastical it looked in my memory, not how it actually looked on screen. I feel as if a lot of creative liberties needed to be made to satisfy my desires. that objective may not be to everyone's taste, but it is what I wanted from my interior. I wanted it to look dazzling. not necessarily strictly accurate. There are models out there that already achieve this, and I have already done that type of modelling before, and I wanted to do something different. Which GMOD TARDIS in particular? if you are referring to my original map then yes, this will eventually become its spiritual successor in some other engine (probably still SBOX), however if you are referring to the TARDIS Rewrite, then in some capacity yes. Most of the team working on TARDIS rewrites have, to some extent had a significant involvement in this project. Molda, TARDISMAN, Doctor Matt, DrunkTurtle, etc etc etc have all contributed to this project in some sense, some to serious extent. I could not have done this without them. this is why I believe it it is important to release the blender file. so everyone benefits from this. Weather this interior ever gets ported to GMOD will be entirely up to them and what they wish to do with it. I truly do not know where this interior may end up. we may even see it on SecondLife. @@danielrolesu5000

Yeah, I know that RTD actually didn't want to do the 2009 specials in HD because he was worried about the flaws of the TARDIS showing up much more in HD and I suppose it kind of does but for me no deal breaker in any way, for example the coral columns was actually just steel framework with polyurethane foam put around it which i suppose kind of shows up in HD. It also makes a much more hollow sound than expected. I think the Doctor Who Experience set which was used in Day of the Doctor has much more convincing materials, though only big problem with it is that it's quite dark But yeah, if it isn't exactly faithful then it's fine to drop reference pictures for that particular set, though more generic ones such as of coral itself, good idea to use it. I mean none of these are fully faithful recreations, if they were, there would be half the set missing on the right.@@krauterz

I intend to release the model first, and then work on a mod. reason being that there are many many talented people out there (some who have contacted me looking for access to the model) who could turn this interior into something I could never hope to achieve. I intend to make a sbox mod for it after I have released the model however, but it will be something more in line with my original GMOD map. some rooms and a few locations. nothing fancy.
