Indeed I think the rap is so chock full of wordplay and allusions that it's easy to overlook what he's doing on a purely rhythmic level.

One of Ren's best songs imo, right next to Chalk Outlines, and just behind The Tales and Hi Ren. It's a perfectly executed song, his beat is great and his lyrics have real content, and his delivery is flawless.
It’s interesting how we all have different preferences. The two songs of REN’s I can’t stand are this one ( It irritates me beyond belief although I appreciate its very clever) and Chalk Outlines. Chalk Outlines is fine until the duet begins but Chinchilla is a bit off pitch and again it really grates.
For me me REN’s best songs are ‘Ready For You’, ‘Ocean’, Suicide and ‘Losing it oh and of course Crutch.
I’ve really tried to like ‘Genesis’ but even though I sometimes force myself to listen to it, I just can’t.

There is also an acoustic of Genesis, and like all his other "flip-n-strip" song, it has an entirely different feel to it, as well as a Drum&Bass version. Can't wait til you see "Murderer". It's a treat.
Tomorrow he's dropping another song from Sick Boi that features a friend of his named Vik--who plays the pig in most of Ren's songs in which he appears.
Another brilliant vid I was never a real fan of rap until I came across ren a few weeks ago now I just like watching what he’s going to do next never lets us down he’s in a different league 😊

Another terrific reaction. Excellent points re him never letting you settle into one rhythm. I’m sure his ADHD is a factor in this as he doesn’t want to do the same thing for too long either. I’m sure his busking mash ups also come from his ADHD. Either way it’s always entertaining listening to him and always enjoyable watching you.

a mistake that all reactors make is that ren is eating fish and chips..its two battered sausage ,chips and mushy peas, you can tell by the shape of sausages ..love your vids BTW
Oh wow, even though it actually says “Fish and Chips” on the container that the food is in. Didn’t even know battered sausages existed! 😂
@@StrateleStudiosyou can get virtually anything dipped in batter in the UK, wouldn't be a gourmet sausage I think is fair to say.
@@StrateleStudios Either way, I don't think it matters as Ren can't eat most things due to his MCAS autoimmune issues. I think that's part of why he throws the chip down and makes a frustrated growling noise in the song.
