in the process of installing in the same car same paint job everything haha, putting in clarion nx605 with 4 polk audio MM 6501components a sundown 12 zv5 d2 on sundown scv 3k and hifonics hercules 1200.4 (had hercules 3k sub amp but wasn't gonna be enough juice) on a mechman 240 amp alt and xs D3400, all knu konceptz kolossus fleks 0 gauge and 4 gauge and a NVX 0 gauge big 3(couldn't find big 3 in knu) all OFC wiring. watching yours hit is making me think my poor little civic might shake to death haha

i was gonna buy that box lol but was only made for X and zv4, i found another one 32 hz double front wall with center brace that the zv5 magnet fit through using the twin 3 inch aero ports
Pretty much all of the SUBWOOFERS u just mentioned are all basically the same wattage so that box u can put in the Xs the ZV4s and the ZV5s and probably the NIGHTSHADE V2 V3 but honestly it probably is a little small for the NIGHTSHADE V2 OR V3 DEFINITELY THE V4T THAT IS A BEAST THERE LIKE PUTTING KING KONG IN A BOX LOL

Hey how you like that system. Im looking to do the the same box and run a 12" Sundown X off a Rockford Fosgate T1500BDCP or maybe a 13 JL W7 off a HD1200. I currently have 2 12 JL W0 in a basswedge box off a Alpine 500watt amp. Want something that will be louder than what I have what do you think?
Vishaal199107 I am completely satisfied with it even though it is under the RMS rating by a little. the JL or the Sundown setup you both mentioned will be more then enough for a compact car unless you plan on competing. Around 1700 watts of power with a stock alternator is the most my civic can probably handle so anymore power will require a high output alternator, which is what I aimed for.
so you thinking from going from 2 12 on 500watts to a single Sundown X 12 or JL 12 w7 will be louder on 1200-1500RMS
Vishaal199107 From my experience with previously having a 2 12 500 watt system a while back, yes. the higher end subwoofer with the more powerful amp will be louder, sound better, and hit lower depending on the driver and port tuning.

The company that makes this box made a new one that is less wide but taller and deeper if you search up on eBay for the sundown x12 ported box. I don't know how big your trunk is but look up and measure in your trunk.

hello love the set up...I'm actually going to do the same...I noticed you have a civic...so do i😎..my question is what have you done to your electrical system...cuz I have two Rockford p2 12's and I crazy dim lights...I want to put high output alternator but our cars have ELD which will make it usless😢
My entire electrical is in the description. As far as electrical goes, wiring is key, especially with a stock alternator. Make sure you have good quality wire going to everything. Light dimming also will still happen with a high output alternator cause it depends on the head lights being used and how sensitive they are to rapid voltage change. As long as you have good voltage, you don't have to worry about light dimming killing your car.
jose torres hope your lights aint dimming much, for me all i did was get a bosch agm battery up front to run my hdc3 12 at half ohm on a be1700.1, lights dim, but i think my old boss amp dropped my voltage a lot more at only 600 watts.
Just Chillin my car is actually in the shop now I'm adding the extra battery in the back for now if that doesn't help I'll just go ahead and get the high output alternator

Yes, you should be able to, but with much less real estate in the trunk. With this single sub and box, I have a little less then half of trunk space. You could just buy a Zv5 with more power to maintain space in the trunk.
