Good comparison, I haven't used the normal SuperEgo but I have both the SuperEgo+ and Freeze, I like the Freeze because of it's small form factor and basic functionality, I was planning on selling it after I got the SuperEgo+ but I keep it as it also has a nice warm sound
I got both, I sold the superego. The superego plus is much better than the superego. We can better adjust the sound, more modes, the footswitch its silent, those of the superego were too noisy, and the multi-effect is very good. A little wonder!

Oddly , in just the first demo, I rather liked the noisier version from a timbral sensibility. It reminds me of the very first Digitech Red Whammy..........noisy as hell but it had a SOUND that people are still paying big bucks for.
You're welcome dear Rick! Do you mean the Superego is less noisier? What I noticed trying out these together is: the Plus may sound more clean, like it's a bit scooped. The normal one has a very nice warmer and fuller sound. The smaller one has a lot more output volume! To have unity volume I have to set the knob at 2 o'clock on the SE+, while with the smaller SE I have unity at around 11 o'clock. The Superego doesn't have all the fancy Attack/decay/threshold knobs of the bigger one SE+, but it does more or less the same as the big one, and it's more straight forward to use. After this trial I decided to sell my SE+ and get again the standard Superego.
Even though it's a comparison video, the timing of the capture (switch) seems to be too different. Depending on the timing of the freeze (switching) , the sound impression will be quite different.

that's why I sold the SuperEgo+ in favor of the normal SuperEgo: SE sounds warmer and I realized I don't need all the fancy stuff in the SE+.
Thanks for the demo! Love the Superegoplus. I had the Superego but that pedal sucked too much frequenties and was a one trick pony in my opinion.
