This tutorial takes you through the steps of how to create your own retro style sweater featuring a top zip, contrast bias binding edges and a cute patchwork finish.
I made this jumper from some old towels I had laying around and it ended up being super comfy and snug! Alternatively you could make this from fleece, denim, corduroy, quilted material or any other fabric you think would make a great sweater!
Such a practical and cute number to add into the wardrobe :)
Make what you can and ethically source the rest!

It looks so great 🤩 I love the fact you use just a sewing machine and not a overlocker to make all your clothes

So cute maddie

This came out really nice! The bias binding for finishing was a really nice touch. Do you only self draft or use patterns as well?
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I'm about to start making my own and wanted to just do 2 front panels, but i want my top one to be longer than my zipper length. is there a way to do this without having a seam running across where the zipper ends? I'm wondering if it'll be too tricky with towel material. Hope you're having a lovely day!
So excited for this tutorial 😍you are out there cultivating our love for toweling clothing pieces! I immediately want to go out and search for cute towels to thrift!
⭐Little tip for anyone looking to recreate this, I find working with denim/jeans needles on towel fabric works really well, especially for those thicker areas!
What is the wide of bias tape?
What is the wide of the high collar?
Have a question what size towel i need to make 2x men's sweater 30 x 60 would that be enough??
woah, i’m early!
Real question... have you ever wanted to outline a cute top or bottom at a store to recreate it at home? I can't help but imagine myself in a fitting room with a piece of parchment paper and pencil outlining a top that I'd like to try and make myself!
Jesus loves you x
You're talking much too fast. You don't leave room for th intake of your planning and between your talking there are long spaces without any information....
Thanks for your feedback! I’ll keep that in mind to leave more breathing space to comprehend what I’ve said moving forward ☺️
