  • Here’s a little video on the experience I’ve had with these Chinese duplexers. The 30w is definitely not a good unit. However, the 50w version works great. Stay tuned for the tune and test of the FUMEI 50w model. Thanks for watching!

    I need help. I bought Fumei SGQ-450A on amazon, I made a GMRS repeater, but I noticed that less then 0.4 miles, the repeater won`t receive any signal from my radio. I checked the high frequency port, keying up receiver radio, and nothing was shown on my meter. Is that supposed to be, or is the duplexer bad? I should I do? By the way, I bought it because I saw your video. Thanks

    I recently bought the FUMEI SGQ-450A off Amazon. The loss is tremendous. 40 watts in and only 12+ watts out, same exact scenario you’ve had with the 30 watt version. Seems strange how the 30w. and 50w. Have the exact same model number. Are they now marketing the 30 watt as the 50 watt for more money? Is the model number different from the ones you bought 2 years ago?
    Reviews on Amazon are not very good. I’m going to try a tuned Duplexer from Buy Two Way Radios and see what happens. This FUMEI is heading basic to Amazon.

      I haven’t messed with the radio gear in a while, but based on memory I know for sure the 50watt was much bigger with larger cavities. Sounds like that could be possible. I’ll have to check.
      Thanks for watching!

    I have the duplexer sgq-450a.the sticker tells me low 462.000 and 467.000 for high.My repeater is 462.675 and 467.675.. Does this need to be tuned or am I fine??

      @clarencehahn5249 Před 2 lety

      The high side will need to be tuned because it's not gonna be able to hit because the frequency goes beyond 467.000

    I have a friend with a local GMRS repeater. Would you know of a good simple to follow procedure to tune the duplexer. His repeater is a kenwood TKR-850. I have the service manual
    but nothing on the steps to tune the duplexer to a new frequency pair. Thanks

      I’ve stepped away from my radio gear. However, I’ve found a few how to tune a duplexer vids on CZcams to teach myself. Good luck!

      @@keyoflife24 I found a video on youtube showing how to tune it. In my case the duplexer had a stability problem. I was able to tune it but any pressure
      applied to it would de-tune it. Replaced the duplexer and the repeater is working fine.

    what kinda spectrum analyzer is that and where did you get it? thanks in advance

    • @n1kkri
      @n1kkri Před rokem +1

      The one that I used was made by HP HP8591E. It has a tracking signal generator meaning whatever you setup the sweep receive frequency range it will will have a port
      with a the generator output signal sweeping the same frequency range allowing you to see the bandwidth of the notch and peak bandpass.

    I couldn’t locate the separate video on the eBay Spec Analyzer.
    Did you ever get a chance to create the video?
    I was guessing you might have abandoned the idea after getting the Rigol.
    Nice unit BTW. I bought an Agilent $12k portable spectrum analyzerw/TG and now realize the Rigol does early as good in simple duplexer and cavity tuning.
    Thanks again.

      Never mind.
      I seem to be having Biden Brain lately. (Dementia Joe - NOT Pederast Joe) 🤣
      I just found the video.
      I was always curious about the low end SA . I was thinking it’d be a nice thing to toss into a mobile/portable EMComm kit.
