- Don't bake bread! SHOTI Georgia Bread is the most delicious bread you have ever baked.
Georgia bread
Georgian bread SHOTI.
RECIPE SHOTI Georgian bread.
350 ml warm water.
6 g dry yeast.
10g sugar.
Mix everything together.
3 teaspoons of flour from the total amount (500 g).
Mix everything well.
Cover the yeast mixture with a kitchen towel.
Leave the yeast mixture in a warm place for 10 minutes.
Sift the remaining flour.
A total of 500 g of flour was required.
8g salt.
Mix everything together.
Add yeast mixture.
Knead the dough with a spatula.
Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
Knead the dough with your hands.
Place the dough on the table.
Knead the dough with your hands for 1 minute.
Form the dough into a ball.
Grease a bowl with vegetable oil.
Place the dough in a bowl.
Cover the dough with cling film.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
The dough turned out well.
Sprinkle the table with flour.
Place the dough on the table.
Stretch the dough with your hands.
Roll the dough into a roll.
Divide the dough into 2 parts.
Form each piece of dough into a ball.
Cover the dough balls with a kitchen towel.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Form the bread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Dust parchment with flour.
Stretch the dough ball with your hands.
Repeat after me.
Shape the bread.
Make a well in the center of the bread.
Brush the bread with water.
Cover the dough with cling film.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 10 minutes.
Do the same with the remaining dough.
Bake the bread in an oven preheated to 250°C for 13-15 minutes.
To give the bread a golden crust, I use the hot air function.
The bread is ready!

What is the purpose of making a center whole in the bread???
I would like to make this but you do not specify they type of wheat flour to use. In Canada we have an all purpose wheat flour that is usually half soft/half hard wheat. Would that do or should I use something with more protein, etc? Thanks so much for all your hard work. I have been learning a lot. ☺
