Wish I could do stuff like this with my wife and son. My wife has cancer again. The first time while pregnant with my son six years ago. We found out during the final month of the pregnancy. They had to deliver him early and put her port in at the same time. It was the most joyful and terrifying time of our lives. The cancer came back a year ago and we've been fighting it ever since. I love your videos. it helps to imagine us one day getting back to some form of normalcy. Thanks for the videos and best of luck with your family and Willis.

@@thomasgross8289 Thanks Thomas. It has moved to her brain recently. We have started radiation and she's doing ok. It's been tough with her immunocompromised system and Covid too. Nightmare scenario stuff. We take 'er day by by day to sound cliche. We hope you and yours are well too.

Yay Stephanie👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎣🎣 The first fish I ever caught was a rainbow trout on power bait at my family's cabin near Mt.Shasta in Northern CA when I was 10. We only used power bait n pink fish eggs lol. Brought back so many great memories catching n eating brown n rainbows. Looks like u guys had a blast making amazing new memories caught on camera forever.

Fabulous FIRSTs! I have to tell you... I live in northern Colorado, and have never caught (or fished for) kokanee, so I looked up the closest mountain kokanee fishery to me (Chambers Lake) and went there yesterday. Long story short, I caught no kokanee, but I did catch my FIRST ever lake trout, 18" and 19"ers! Gorgeous fish, though surprisingly docile for big trout. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have my dad's 1930's South Bend split bamboo fly rod . My dad God rest his soul loved to fly fish for bass I remember fishing in an old home made flat bottom boat made out of marine plywood.

The one thing I hate about your show is I will start watching on a Saturday morning about 8am with my coffee and next thing I know it is past noon and I am still on the couch. Love you guys. Krusteaz pancake mix, just add water and mix. Get a quart bottle, add powder, add water, shake, and pour on skillet. There are some good tips in the thread about fly fishing. It’s addictive once you figure out what you are doing. Thanks for the great content.

Love the video! Just when you’re fishing a stream/river cast up stream because the fish are looking up stream for food floating down to them in those pools. Since they are facing up stream they will not see you if you cast up in front of them upstream and bring the bait down to them. Keep doing what you’re doing! Great looking fish!
Exactly. I had great luck in Wyoming in deep fast/rolling water casting up stream. I reeled fast and when the panther martin reached me it obviously stopped and was spinning real good and bam. I caught my limit in less than 30 minutes. Now having said that I did catch some where water was pooling up in a calmer setting. I also learned to sneak up on trout if the water is really clear and shallow. Loved this video as it really brought back fond memories. Just awesome!

Another great video! Please consider running through your fly tackle selection while fishing. Curious about line selection, rod/reel weights, etc. Perhaps I have missed previous episodes where it was discussed. Keep up the amazing work!
