This man's voice guided one of the greatest bands through the 60s........and he needs to be recognized for his accomplishments along with the rest of the band.
Felix has one the best pure voices in the history of pop music. So much soul and melody.
He still sounds incredible all these years later

When I see people like him sing I realize that no matter how much I practice singing I will suck. You have to be born with it.

OMG, this was my jam when I was growing up! Felix Cavalier had a way of phrasing his lyrics and I would lose my mind! I miss the background vocals though. Together they were the bomb!

I remember hearing this on the radio for the first time during my high school days when I was a drummer in a garage band. This song blew me away within seconds. His voice is incredible. It's a shame that Dino Danelli wasn't with him on this video. I still have all of the Yound Rascals aka Rascals albums that I bought back in the 60's. (I never knew why the name changed.)

Chills and a tear or two. Reaches down into my soul, somehow even more than the original version. Hearing it like this just shows how great of a song it really is, on it’s own terms. There are many who are much more famous than Felix, but most of them don’t have an ounce of the talent and soul this man possesses.

Three months earlier on February 24th, 1980 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #85; and on April 13th it peaked at #36 {for 1 week} and spent 11 weeks on the Top 100...
During this same week 14 years earlier in 1966 Felix, as a member of the Young Rascals, was in the #2 position on the Top 100 with "Good Lovin'" {the week before it was #1}...
Mr. Cavaliere will celebrate his 72nd birthday this coming November 29th, 2014...

So many singers from that era don't have their voices anymore (I'm thinking John Sebastian when the Lovin' Spoonful was inducted into the RRHOF). It doesn't sound like Felix Cavaliere has lost a thing (at least judging from this performance).

Felix was 75% of The Rascals. He was the most talented one, and Eddie, Gene & Dino must accept that. As Felix once said to them, "We're in a business. We don't have to love each other."
56dinosaur-Actually they all gave 25% each , Felix had that awesome voice and good song writing ability-Gene Cornish also wrote songs and played guitar-Eddie Brigati brought a lot of magic to the group and of course Dino Donatelli on drums =100%
