FWIW, I've been to multiple metal concerts that included a badass disabled person crowd surfing and/or moshing (ok, more like spinning around really fast and high-fiving people) in the pit. They had fun, their friends had fun, the crowd had fun, no one got hurt, and honestly it was great time. It was awesome seeing people being so inclusive of other people who just wanted to let loose, enjoy the music, and have fun.
i lived the same thing. yep, just because "why not everyone can crowdsurface ? sure it's a challenge but hey man ! gotta fasten your seatbelt because you're gonna do it :p"
metalheads usually leave the grounds in a much better state after large gatherings too. my theory is we get out more dark impulses through embracing the music so don't feel the need to be such ignorant disrespectful pieces of trash in life as those who worship fake and overly glorified trash artists who just show how to get by being human garbage.

@@jonm8513 That was my take on that as well for two reasons - one, it's actually incredibly difficult to make a murder look like suicide the first time let alone twice in a row and two, I have an ex who is like that and I honestly considered either killing her or myself to get away from her before an opportunity to leave opened itself to me and I ran as fast as I could.

A rare moment in which Jeannie's mind is even more cursed than Henry's.
Metal and Rock fans and musicians are some of the kindest people around! I've seen a lot of people in wheelchairs being lifted up and crowdsurfed so they can see better and I've seen artist ask the crowd to lift them up on the stage. Experience of a life time for sure!
When you put all your rage into music, all you are left with is love.

There are always assholes in every crowd, of course, but metal fans are remarkably considerate and it's beautiful to see.
One time I was in a Slayer mosh pit at Riot Fest 2019 when a wheelchair-bound fan started having seizures and the quickest way for the paramedics to evac them was through the various pits. The veteran moshers immediately went into crowd control mode and walled up a path so they could get out of the crowd. And this was at night (after drinking all day) with Slayer fucking blasting our collective brains out; there was no way to communicate orders, everyone just paid attention and did what we need to.
Then a quick check that everybody was clear, everybody good, then right back to knocking each around.
Humanity is magnificent sometimes.
I still don't understand why people think heavy metal bands are hateful angry and even worst here in my country they always add up the word demonic, I'm a bassist and I also do unclean vocals for my band and was playing for more than a decade. because we cant play in our country we always play overseas, for that long I've never encounter any proof that those negative things being said to us are true, in most live performance that we've been only shows how the bands playing cares about their fans, stopping the performance every time accidents happen to help the victims and lots of kind things most of my band members are also very very religious but still people here keeps berating us with bad words, one of my member always say that if a very religious person tells a religious man that his worshiping the devil only means his worshipping the same entity, and as long as they still believe that their religion is real the negative things about us will also stay the same.
@@Santisima_Trinidad That actually makes a whole lot of sense, especially from a psychological perspective - using the music as an outlet for your negative emotions means they won't get buried or pent up in your subconscious to explode when the pressure gets too great.

As a metal fan, gotta say I've actually been to many concerts where I've either witnessed and/or helped a person in a wheelchair, or other inability, crowd surf. They all had a blast, one kid just kept going cause the crowd was willing.

10:21 funnily enough not a lot of people were supposed to die in a colosseum. after all training and feeding people were very expensive and having them die on day 1 was not a good investment.
especially gladiators. it would be like killing off NFL players after all the training and conditioning. some of the greatest medical advances of the romans were from treating gladiators. traction beds, alcohol sterilization, wound suction, rudimentary universal precautions, ect.
6:00 so fun fact, when someone gets to the front of the crowd while crowdsurfing, they're collected by security folks and, yes, gently placed on the ground. So this guy would probably get to the front and get carefully put down, or be slowly lowered by the people surfing him forward and a path would be cleared to get him out of the crush at the front. I mean, shit, I've seen a band call for a stop mid-song when someone got crushed in a mosh pit (I think someone in the pit started screaming "wait wait hold up man down") and the entire crowd parted ways to let a medic on a golf cart drive forward to get the guy out of the crowd. Real polite folks, would shoulder charge them in the chest again.

The medical playset reminds me of when I was cosplaying a Klingon medic. I told people that my target practice was when I had to vaccinate the crew. "Hyper sprays are for those weak Federation doctors I use high powered darts. A couple members of the crew are quite wiley at attempting to escape their vaccinations so I hunt them first."
