Metroid Fusion is the 4th installment in the Metroid series of games (not counting the Prime games) released in 2002 as the sequel to Super Metroid.
Samus encounters a dangerous virus known as X, in which it can completely take over a living organism and mutate it. Samus after being infected has her power-suit surgically removed and is given a vaccine made from the cells from the baby Metroid she saved back on planet SR388. This makes her immune to the X virus, but something goes wrong at BSL station where parts of her powersuit were sent for examination. Samus, now with Metroid DNA, goes off to investigate the situation at BSL station.
This run by Reseren ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/R... ) makes use of a save corruption glitch that puts Samus right before the end of the game.

Watch a resync ( github.com/alyosha-tas/GBA_re... ) of this run being played back on a real console ( • TAS - Metroid Fusion "... ). - Hry
Gameplay starts at 4:17
From our perspective it's like Samus got fed up with the federation's crap, launched herself into the station, blew it up from within, and left.
Right when I'm playing some Fusion Randomizers, perfect 👍

Great MEMORY CORRUPTION run. Love watching the Metroid TAS runs that these runners perform. 😎

Nice TAS
Very good
Lets gooooooo
Wow I not hear that’s game for long time!
It makes sense “save glitch”
This is memory corruption. "save glitch" has never once been used to refer to this category so the title is super misleading
Exactly.
When I think of Save Glitches, I think of Half-Life or Legend of Zelda.

tasvideos branch semantics 🤷♀
This is explained in the author's notes during the judgement phase.
[In the video referencing the memory corruption, the user actually did have to save, so yes, it's a save glitch.]

When you gonna make playlists for your channel??
That death warp has me confused... ggs
those power bombs placed out of bounds corrupted the game's memory
after dying, the save that's loaded has the flags set for the final boss to be dead
this is any% memory corruption, an actual speedrun category. why isn't any% in the title?
By default, a run is any% unless otherwise specified.
i lold - screw'em!
How do you clip teleport through the walls like that???
Looks like a frame perfect trick where the enemy is frozen and samus gets pushed up
I remember this game for its really loud sound effects. They do not sound very good.
Can't say they're lacking ads on this one...
soooooooo much beeping dood 😑😑😑😑
sorry
bro, I've been telling you about an awesome possum speedrun for Genesis for a week or 2, why do you always bring the same games?😞😞😞
this is what parasocial relationships does to a mf
