The fact that the flying turret of that exploding tank at 5:31 actually collides and destroys the building walls is pretty insane and an overlooked detail. 2042 has some serious mechanics.

that's new though. Not too long ago these particles were flying in slow motion and doing exactly nothing than having broken hitboxes lol.

the only thing that i cant stand is how under powered alot of the portal guns are in comparison to the base guns.

It's like a whole new game that is still MILES behind any other Battlefield game. Still missing CORE features like squad management, server browser, actual good movement and climbing animations and many good additions we had in BFV like the squad reinforcements and field fortifications.

Fun fact, the new assault rifle is based on a real gun that was part of the Next Generation Squad Weapon by the US army to replace the M4/M16 for more powerful and modern systems. Unfortunately that gun lost the contest to the Sig Spear AKA the M5A3 in game.

@@XXTheSadisticlemurXX Nah Broh, that bullpup looks badass as frick, not to mention the plastic case hybrid thing is interesting as hell. The SIG spear is just an M4 on steroids, which i guess is why they won. That and the political poppies SIG has on the US.
@@33up24 yes, that's how it won for the most part...the politicians seem to have got their way. Shame though because the RM277 is much nicer - especially the plastic insulation to prevent overheating.
That new armored truck is like a dream for a good team I hope it becomes powerful and useful
Passengers are exposed so it appears it won't be as powerful as the MAV if the passengers can take damage.
All this looks like prime level Battlefield content

That c5 didn't kill the brawler because it has a special trait that reduces c5 damage. I'm assuming rockets are more powerful against it. Nice balance tbh, rockets for these and aircraft, c5 for big tanks.
@@nohudbud8983 They really need to change how c5 works on tanks. It does 50% hp to acp but obliterates tanks, just ridiculous.

@@onurkaymak9790 Ideally, one infantry guy shouldn't be able to solo kill tanks, but I think C5 is fine as it's high risk high reward type of AT gadget. When it comes to dumbfire rockets, I think it's good that killing tanks is a team effort as opposed to engineers being a one man army.
They are saving Battlefield. Finally. So happy to see it. More destructible environments, please!

@@OIW true words. They are still lacking lots of features from older games and the new content released so far maybe amounts to one DLC that we had back then. As expected it is a a slow drip-feed work in progress game. To me every update feels more like tombstone care.

I’ve been watching jackfrags for a number of years now.. at 5:57 is the loudest I’ve ever heard jack be! He’s normally so laid back but when that vehicle didn’t blow from 3 c4.. he was unpleasantly surprised hahaha

This map had me hyped before I watched this and now I'm even more hyped. Looked like a great map that gave something of everything (different levels, terrain, under/above ground etc) and this makes it look even better. Does seem bigger than I thought. The new weapons look fantastic as well. Can't wait, especially to try to use the slide.
Looks really good. I’m pumped to play it. I thought last season was the best Season but looks like this season will be the best.

Bro as a vehicle player the new specialist is going to be amazing. Anyone who mains them and knows how to pair up with a proper vehicle squad can be a serious power spike that can shake up the match. That new SMG looks like a lot of fun, too. Paired with the new map and some of these points this patch is going to be a blast.

The fact that destroyable buildings is something to get excited about in Battlefield, is just ridiculous. I know it wasnt always there but it definitely just became part of the game in my opinion.
Its not even great destruction. Its the typical warehouse destruction like on firestorm etc

i started playing DMZ because no matter what i did i couldnt get 2042 to launch on my PC. i troubleshooted for days trying to get the game to work, and it still wouldnt. Im enjoying DMZ but i really wanna play 2042. it genuinely seems in an alright place, maybe a bit lacking on content but otherwise doing alright, and i really wanna play it 😢 Guess ill continue to live vicariously through your videos! keep it up Jack!

you can see the polymer ammo cases of the RM68 when you shoot! similar to how when you use the M5A3 with the high power rounds, you see the hyubrid steel and brass ammo.

Been playing a bit lately and seeing this, i think now this is the Game we wanted to see back when It came out
They need to make a city level close quarters with a lot of destruction. This game lacked destruction and close quarters

@@MuchCow9000 Closed infantry only maps in this game wont work, too much cheap bullshit in it. This game would benefit from a Propaganda or Zavod type map tho. Hell even an Amiens type map. No air vehicles, 2 tanks at best the rest is infantry with long mid and close range zones for the infantry. 3 4 lanes max.

@@MuchCow9000 I said close as in, closed space. Metro takes all the fighting insinde, same for Locker. That wouldnt work with all the Liz, new noobtube, scatter nades, Dozer rushing in with Shield etc. On the other hand when maps are outside and there is room between players and you can use smokes to push in it works better.

I think one specialist they should have made was a Zipline one. I know this season is the last one but a zipline would be very helpful in this game.
it's not the last season, S5 is in the works they already shown map teasers and stuff. They will keep adding more maps weapons and stuff but no new Specialists and it's better that way

Can't believe he made that comment. The maps are 100x better in bf4 then battlefield 2042. For me, I would rather have a remastered BF3 which is a much, much better game than battlefield 2042
