I had seen something that required me to study the airplane concorde a few weeks back, first thing I seen was an alien face with a nice leather seat cover for a face. No idea why I clicked but wow, one of the most awesome songs I’ve ever heard.
God they're all so mesmerizing. I can't even begin to imagine how incredible it must feel to for such a large group to all jive so perfectly. Will always love Isaac his lyricism, delivery, and guitar ability - and do hope he comes back - but there is absolutely a current that goes beyond solely him that make their output so captivating.
It’s a shame they didn’t include the piano solo on the studio recording. I mean I understand how one could feel it’d make the song too ‘busy’, especially since they wanted this record to be more focused or songwriting-centered than for the first time (although that album is already superbly written) but I thought it was not only wonderful by itself but would have been a perfectly fitting addition
Funny to think that this might be the only video ever of a live performance of this song with Isaac on vocals. And you don't even get to see him here.
