Back in 1987, Richie, Dave Liebman, Eddie Gomez, Jack Dejohnette, and Wayne Shorter played a John Coltrane tribute concert in Japan for 20,000 jazz fans.
During a break, Richie asked Wayne the question, how do find those notes that you play and write? This is Wayne's great answer that I think every jazz musician should hear...
