- In this video I have shown all the possible ways to reboot/restart as well as factory reset/hard reset the Fossil Gen 5 both when the screen & buttons are working as well as when not working. With the tips shown in the video you can fix any frozen app, blank screen or glitch y apps. I have even shown how to enter the recovery mode & how to avoid exit it along with detailed explanation about each & every modes available in the recovery mode. hello sir, i have fossil smart watch keep restarting every time i set the time or i connect to wear os app, i tried all the possible remedy like resetting to factory, clear cache etc but still the same, but if not connected to wear os app or the time is not set its not restarting, do you have idea how to fix this problem?
This has been most useful video on fossil gen 5 smartwatch. I thought either I broke my watch or my charger, but it just started working fine based on information in your video. Thanks a ton!

What is the solution for a charged watch but it wont turn on, if i press the buttons nothing happens. And only if i connect to the charger, is sometimes get the fossil logo. But nothing else happens

To enter recovery mode once you get to the no command screen hold the crown in while simultaneously swiping up. Hope this helps:)

My problem is that I can't even get my watch to go into the recovery mode no command. When I do the long press to go into that, it just reboots the phone.
I have a Citizen CZ Smart Watch. Which, come to find out is a Fossil Gen 5. I have, for the second time, put the watch in to Manufacturer Shutdown mode. The first time i did, I sent it back to Citizen for repair. Come to find out it was just shut down... This time I decided I'd turn it back on myself, but I couldn't remember how to do it and apparently, I deleted all of the emails they sent me on how to do it... Anyway, I was able to power on my watch by entering into Recovery Mode as you described in your video. Thank you!

Hello, how do i fix unresponsive touch screen. I tried every recommendation like hold restart for 30secs, restart by holding all buttons, charging while restart. It all WONT WORK. I have never once drop or soak with water, just left it in my office for few hours and it became like this.

my watch had been stuck on no command for a year now.. tried every possible way to get it done. but i finally got it. Once you enter recovery mode/fastboot mode, my buttons didnt seem to want to change the modes... i ended up holding down the upper button and pressing the power button to toggle bewtween modes. I toogled it to start mode and bam..it works now

My watch doesn't stay on ling enough for me to do any of theses things. I have just been able to reset the phone but after that it again restarts. So if you can guide me I would be most grateful.

When you enter the restart and shutdown screen by pressing the crown button, how do you get back to the previous page??? When I go to that page and I press the button, it either gets turned off or restart

What about a Fossil 5E watch...doesn't have the same 3 buttons on the side? Just one and it doesn't pull out and enable changes to the settings.

I poked around for you, there are further settings to get to after the Recovery and " No Command " screen!!!!! At the "No Command" Screen you have to HOLD the POWER BUTTON and SWIPE UP ONCE. you will get another android recovery menu with red text. swipe up and down to scroll, and left to select. This is where you would scroll down a couple times until you see wipe all data and factory reset. I hope this helps with your videos.

My Gen5 turn to black screen suddenly.at first i thought the battery is flat but when i try to charge it..nothing happen. Its completely noy function at all and still new.never had chance to use it for my sport activity yet.

So my Fossil Gen5E just died on me a few days ago since it ran out of battery, when i plugged in back in and let it charge i just found myself stuck in the menus you were showing in the Video. But instead of just booting normally once i power it off and on again it just throws me back into the Recovery/Bootmode. Is there any way to fix that?

Hi, I have been using an Armani smartwatch, Armani Exchange connected, I am unable to enter the recovery mode. Whenever I follow the steps as advised by you in the video, it reboots my watch. My fossil sport gen 4 restarts continuously, it does not go beyond the Fossil logo, what can I do? If I can enter FASTBOOT MODE. I press Start and the same goes on with the infinite loop of reboots.

I have tried to reset my Gen 5 but haven't been successful. No vibration after a very long press. My screen has not been responsive for a few days. Watch does recharge but when I take off charger, face dims and goes dark. It does not wake up from there.

Okay so my watch was a bit different, I held the middle power button and swiped up on the screen a couple times and a menu pulls up, then I scroll down and it has the reboot menu mode in which is the screen thats displayed in the video. (watch is brand new and treated well) I cant seem to press the power button to switch mode that I can select if anyone can help please let me know

Its a new watch bought it 6 months ago, completely dark even though its trying to be charged
You need to reset it via recovery. And if its 6month old it must have warranty email fossil and see if they can help.

@@vidstube Recovery mode doesnt work. Its probably an unfinished boot application that the fossil devs never finished making. My carlyle watch is in a fossil logo loop as well. I believe it may be the charging rings, which probably stop working after some time and get loose and then it stops charging.

Hi, thank you for the quick reply, I have tried to press the buttons as shown in the video, but it is only restarting, tried a lot of times, it just won't go in the recovery mode... it only restarts every time...
Hmm if that does not help i dont think so anything else can be done. You can try contacting diesel support and see if they can help. May be you cant enter recovery because you forgot the pattern 🤔

Helpful video - new sub. I purchased a new phone...S8 to S20 FE. I have done the disconnect and reset. All the steps seem to work well (including pairing code) until it gets to the point where the phone S20 FE is unable to get the watches details. It tries to connect for long while and doesn't connect. Any thoughts.

If you are able to select options in the recovery mode than select start. If nothing is working then there are two ways you can press hold the middle and bottom button together until you get out, you can even try press holding all buttons and see what happens or you let the watch discharge completely and than charge and start it normally.
