- On Samosir Island in Lake Toba, every road leads to a new adventure! We're on a mission to see as much of it as we can by exploring all the little backroads in our area.
In this video, we headed down some rocky paths to discover some incredible new sights. After stumbling across a very cool dragonfruit farm, we came across an epic church standing tall against the mountain backdrops.
This unique Gothic-Batak style church was never completed, but it's still so beautiful. We happened to meet the lovely caretaker, who took us up a series of slightly dodgy old ladders to the very top of the steeple to enjoy the views.
We ended our day with some delicious homemade durian icecream from one of our favourite vegan restaurants in Lake Toba, North Sumatra.
