The "grenade launcher" by the way is called a boom shot brother but great video also the Overkill fires a hell of a lot faster then you have shown it to.
Things this video doesn't show:
- the Cryo Cannon uses flame jets to unfreeze itself.
- holding RB reduces the 'overheat' bar on the Mulcher, Tri-Shot, and Cryo Cannon. Steam ejects from the first two, because they're water-cooled.
- the Overkill trigger can be spammed to make it shoot ridiculously fast, but the spread increases drastically.
- muzzle flash looks different after a perfect reload.
- certain weapons shoot faster after a perfect reload. The Boltok no longer does this, unlike past games, unless you find the Relic Boltok.
- the Breaker Mace can be swung like a baseball bat using 'B' button.
- every ballistic weapon can be jammed during the reload process. Most have unique animations as a result.
- there is a chainsaw on the Lancer. (you can make it louder with Right Trigger)
The boltok doesn't actually shoot faster with a perfect reload in 5 for some reason, while previous titles could, but IIRC the boltok relic from the campaign has that ability now

Shame the auto pistol is about the only animation you can actually see with that refrigerator of a man in the way.
Gears characters face the player when in cover. It's a shame this channel didn't do that.

Mulcher and it's overheating whistle sound is still here like in old good times.
Remember when gears had less but always efficient weapons? Yeah good times, but the Lancer GL is amazing
The lancer has always been iconic and a staple of the series. I'm not sure about the MK3's new doofy ass reflex sight that is twice as big as any reasonable reflex sight should be.
But I like the back stock on it

I can't wait to try out gears of war 5 but I really wish the collation just brought back the classic hamerbust because we have two lancers so I don't see any reason to just have one hamerbust and plus having the mark 2 as a Burst weapon feels off and strange just WTF collation 🤨

It kicks like in Gears 3, with the same power at long range. Meaning it's a little more powerful at range than in Gears 4, but not as powerful as the hipfire-Retro-meta of Gears 3.

Tri-shot and Claw have the most satisfying sounds I really like the crosshairs for the claw and how it gets smaller (meaning your shots are getting more accurate) and for tri-shot Is wow Especially shooting it from behind cover or mounting it on cover 😍

So, basically, all good designs are old designs. That Lancer GL is counted as an old design because it's still Lancer. The new guns look like they were made to show how new COG sucks and old one rules. Srsly, those railguns and SMGs look like they're from LEGO store.
Btw, never understood why tf does Boomshot only has one shot before reload, it has a frickin' drum mag, it should have at least few shots in it!

In gears 1 it shoots a 2 round burst and then 1 shot

The simple explanation: ingame balance.
the complex one: because the retrolancer is an obsolete and unbalanced weapon (by weight), the other 2 modern lancers are more stable because they are more modern and advanced, the same with the DB turret.
