Very helpful tutorial. I got my Maschine about a week ago and I'm still learning the ropes. This will really be useful for sampling. Quick and to the point! I'm not sure why some videos take 10 minutes+ to explain everything you just did, haha.

How can you shut the samples off if you have them across groups a and b? When u go to group B and play a sample the sample in group A still plays although u set all the choke groups to 1
Choke groups are only within groups not between groups.
Hi im having trouble with this , i had a previous pattern b4 i changed the setting but after i changed the settings so that the pads can cut each other off , when i recorded another pattern the new pattern chokes my old pattern , how do i dix that ?
LowKeyPSK If they are using the same sounds/groups then that's how it will work, it doesn't matter if they are different patterns as they are the same sounds so they still cut each other off.

why when i try to delete a drum sound in 2.0 all the sounds get deleted from that pad ??? how cn i delete/reset just one sound and not delete all the sounds at once like in 1.8 version

Yea, I'm rollin now... Mainly sampled stuff and drums from the library, diggin the drumsynth too. But dig this, I went to use the VSTs and nothing will load. Any heads up???
reignman865 go into your maschine preferences, on the plugins tab, and make sure you've pointed to your proper plugin folder so Maschine knows where the stuff is
Happy Holidays to you my man... Yo, I finally got the plug ins to load. Some how they wound up in a folder in a location they shouldn't have been. Even I do mostly sample based beats, it's nice to be able to explore the different plug ins... Besides, I paid for this shit... It needs to work. Once again, good lookin out homie...

Why would they do that? I tell you man, between windows 8 and maschine 2, im going crazy. I was good with my old maschine and windows 7, but i had to have the new jawn wihich required me to replace my maxed out computer. I feel like im in a nightmare relearning everything i ever new about making music with the maschine and my lil set up. Sheesh.

How do u get the clicks out of the chops
You can use the envelopes to adjust the release or you can edit them and fade out the end.
i'm having a cutoff issue, i'm trying to go switch up the verse filtering the sample on another group to switch it up but the same on one scene won't cut off the previous sound before going to the filtered sample for the change up....what can i do about that?
TazBeatzVA Not sure I follow, but if it's the same sample you can put them into the same choke group to cut each other off. If it's not the same sample I would put it in adsr mode so that it only plays for as long as the note is held down.

No group polyhpony setting in 2.0? I cant come up with one single reason to cut that option out of the software.

Great information, as always! Is there anyway to track out your samples, so that you lay them down in an external DAW? In other words, you have your samples, created your shops, but want to use a daw outside of Maschine? Would you have use Maschine as VST inside the the DAW then select with "Sounds to Midi"? If this helps, I am still using Maschine 1.8 (just prefer the flow of it ;-)), thanks!
You can go to the file menu, click export audio, and export your groups/sounds as individual files.

Have a question about an issue I've been having with my Maschine MK. For some reason it will not start a new project completely empty? Is this a software issue? Im running windows 7 with4 gigs or ram and a i3 processor.
+estro11 If you go into your preferences you can set up a default project. So if you create a project that's empty and save it, you can point to that as your new/default project file.
how can you do this in keyboard mode? when you select one note and just want each pitched version to choke the other
polyphony 1 and set choke group to 1 then press keyboard.. thx guy.
Yep just set the poly to 1 or legato and you can only play one note at a time

I'm doing this and it still doesn't cut off the individual pad? So I have to go through and manually change all 16 pads to 1?
+Shaquille Greene You can do a select, all, then change thy poly to 1 and put them in the same choke group.
SoundsAndGear.com Yeah, I just tried that. The individuals still overlap each other. When I first bought my studio last year I was literally able to do it. I legit do not even know how I can't now. Which is why I'm looking at these videos.

How can I change the bpm on a sample?
Edit the sample and timestretch it. If it is loop in the loop layer, just change project tempo and it will follow.

Even though this is from 10 years ago, it still works. On new controllers you won't see "apply to" you'll just see apply, you can either choose a group or a pad. Select, poly, and choke groups are all still there.
How do you change a one shot continous, into a oneshot that you can control I.E: I lift my finger, the sound stops.

Any place that sales samples in wave format, no specific spot there are tons of them out there. Also NI has their own expansions for Maschine if you want to go that route.

Same way, you have to put them in the same choke group.
+SoundsAndGear.com on the Mikro I can't select all, and change polyphony, i guess I'm doing something wrong
No worries. On Mikro, press select, then choose f3 (multi) then you have to tap each pad so it's selected. After that you can change the poly on any pad and it will change it for all. Just remember to go back into select mode and deselect all the pads or you'll apply anything you do to each pad. Hope this helps!
