Sam, this episode brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. My dad is currently in end-of-life care (hospice), and could pass any time now. Seeing you and your boys made me think of some of the fun times I’ve had with my dad, and it gave me some light in the middle of a dark time. Thank you to you and the boys.

Happy birthday, Sam. You have a great relationship with your sons. I have the same type of relationship with my 3 sons. I couldn't be happier or prouder of them. It has was just us four men until they grew up and moved out.
My youngest son and I bought a house, and he moved in when he got sole custody of his daughter and now I get to raise a girl at the age of 58!! She is 9 and has lived with us for 5 years.

My dad left my mother when they found out she was pregnant. My mother was my mom and dad till she passed in 2019 and I miss this so much. Was a hard one to watch for me.

Not looking for sympathy/ empathy, just commenting. I sure do miss my father and now my brother. My dad passed unexpectedly when he was 46, I was 24. My brother died last August just 20 days after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. These are the type of family gatherings that make great memories, and I am certainly glad I have some similar ones with my family. Watching this production makes me dearly miss both of them. 😥
