    In this video I've demonstrated step by step process how to configure VLAN and Access internet from VLANs PC using Putty, Cisco 2851 Router and Layer 3 Cisco 3560 switch. I also described how apply IP routing in cisco switch and how to apply static routing and dynamic routing (EIGRP) protocol in both Cisco Switch and router for inter VLAN routing and accessing internet from VLANs PC. Finally, I've shown some practical troubleshooting technique for allowing VLANs to internet.

    Hi, thanks for the great video, I have 8 public static IPs on one Ethernet cable from ISP, I have HP Switch V1910-24G, can I Create 8 VLANs for each static IP in switch? is it possible that there is one internet source for the switch and then it routes each static IP to designated VLAN. thanks

    Clearly explained... I have followed your instructions & tried creating 2 VLANs. However, after assigning ports to the VLANs & configuring the IP Address manually in Ethernet properties, the internet doesn't work on both the PCs (which are part of different VLANS). DHCP is already enabled on the router.... Kindly advise.... Many thanks in advance

      Finally did you apply EIGRP Routing both in Router and switch.

I also have a NAS (network attached storage) which must not have access to the internet, however all PCs in both vlan10 and vlan20 should be able to access the NAS. Is this possible? How? I’m wanting to setup 3 maybe 4 VLANs. Here is the issue I’m not sure about. I have a Cisco Router SV260W default gateway of 192.168.123.254. I have an Ubuntu Webserver static on 192.168.123.104. I am forwarding ports 8083 and 8080 to that address as well for the Server. So would like to leave that setup alone if possible. I have the following Ubiquiti equipment. 24 port POE switch, an 8 port 60 watt switch, 4 of the 5 port mini flex switches. I’m wanting the following VLANs. One for IoT, one for guest wifi access and one for my main LAN like doing my video editing. I also have a cloud key gen. 2. Do I have to set the VLANs in the Cisco router and the the 24 port switch. I even thought of changing over to an Edgerouter X even. So looking for some ideas on implimenting.

    • @itsupportpeople219
      @itsupportpeople219  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for watching...
      1st option: If you are able to configure"ip routing" command on the switch then it is a layer 3 switch otherwise it is a layer 2 switch.
      2nd option: run command #sh license detail all. Then you can check the license level in the switch. If it is lanbase, then it is meant only for layer 2.
      If the license level is either ip base or ipservices it is a layer 3 switch.
      Hope you got the answer.
