In this video I've demonstrated step by step process how to configure VLAN and Access internet from VLANs PC using Putty, Cisco 2851 Router and Layer 3 Cisco 3560 switch. I also described how apply IP routing in cisco switch and how to apply static routing and dynamic routing (EIGRP) protocol in both Cisco Switch and router for inter VLAN routing and accessing internet from VLANs PC. Finally, I've shown some practical troubleshooting technique for allowing VLANs to internet.

You are pretty sharp!! Good work! Now, let's add a firewall or AP. lol
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the instructional video. I will be purchasing a layer 3 switch for my home lab. Would it be possible to configure dhcp and dns for VLANs 10 and 20?
One of the best video for the beginner. Can you make another video for AP and Firewall please
Thanks for your compliment...
Good video - if possible do more like port security, etc.

This video and 'Connect Cisco Router & Switch to ISP Home Router and Access Internet' give a COMPLETE one-shop-shop picture how VLANs, switch, 2 routers work together to access Internet. I've trying and trying many way could'nt figure out my failure. The answer could be EIGRP. Thanks very much SIR!
Thanks for watching...
really I appreciate your work

HELLO,thank you for your effort,i ve only one question ,why the default route does not work to route the three subnets from the switch?why you've configured eigrp?
Hi and thank you 4 nice videos. One Question is ti possible to do this with layer 2 switch Cisco 2950 and router is 1941 ... connected to ISP router can i route the traffic with sup int so all 3 vlans can have internet if i'am not on 3 layer switch ..
Good
If you could explain this by doing with Web GUI will be great. not everyone is familiar with CLI. Thanks in advance!
Thanks sir! I learned a lot from this video. Can you please teach us how to configure DHCP on VLANs so instead of giving static IP on the computers/laptop connected to the VLAN it will get IP automatically once plugged in. Thank you so much sire!
Thanks for watching...
Hi, thanks for the great video, I have 8 public static IPs on one Ethernet cable from ISP, I have HP Switch V1910-24G, can I Create 8 VLANs for each static IP in switch? is it possible that there is one internet source for the switch and then it routes each static IP to designated VLAN. thanks
Clearly explained... I have followed your instructions & tried creating 2 VLANs. However, after assigning ports to the VLANs & configuring the IP Address manually in Ethernet properties, the internet doesn't work on both the PCs (which are part of different VLANS). DHCP is already enabled on the router.... Kindly advise.... Many thanks in advance
Thanks for watching... Can you please go through the video again and do ping in every network as I've shown in the video. Did you configure the gateway property for the van pc. If you can ping from switch to router and switch to Google server 8.8.8.8 then configuration in router part is ok then check back the configuration in switch part. I think you missed any step please go through the video again the commands are given in the description.
Thanks
sir i have the same set up but i dont have a cisco router, is it possible for my switch to connect directly to home ISP router and have internet but still have all my vlans?thanks and great video.
Enjoyed your videos. Is this is a good way to connect a home lab (cisco router and switch) to an existing ISP without breaking the original home network? Also can you make a video showing how to setup and connect a Netgear L2 switch to a Cisco L2 switch with a trunk port?
Thanks for watching.
Can you do a video show how to setup Cisco Access points on a vlan and connecting to the internet?
Very informative video. Thanks. I have one question. Using this example, how can I set up VLAN20 to have internet access, but not have access to devices on VLAN10 or VLAN1? For security reasons I want computers on VLAN20 to only have internet access but not be able to access other computers. Thanks in advance.
Lookup how to configure ACL (Access list) on vlan. This will achieve this for you
This is a very good video and it work without problem. I have a little problem connecting from the 192.168.1,0 network back to 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.3.1 network and I don't know why? Can you help on that?
Good video ..One doubt here ..since you made inter vlan routing and default route configured on switch to reach cisco router then why didnt vlan 10 & 20 reach outside ..?
Thanks for watching...Because to reach out side you need to configure NAT PAT but very limited number of switches support NAT that's why I applied dynamic routing
I sure wish you would start back making your ccna tutorials.
is the NAT applied as well ?
this was a great video, however i am having some issues. I followed all directions but i cant seem to ping from vlan 10 to vlan 20 and vice versa. maybe i am doing something wrong? would it matter if my equipment are a 3750 switch and 1921 router?
Thanks for watching... Can you please make sure you put ip address and default gateway ip correctly in the VLAN 10 PC and VLAN 20 PC. Default gateway would be the vlan interface ip. Next did you apply #ip routing command.
Finally did you apply EIGRP Routing both in Router and switch.
I have given all putty command in the description. Hopefully it would help you.
Thanks
If we have single router which is connected to internet then can we access internet in all the vlans?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
congratulations
Thanks for watching
Need help....
I have cisco 3750G switch connected to ISP router. At the moment 10x PCs and 1x NAS connected to switch and all have have access to the internet and NAS.
I need to create 2 vlans, vlan10 and vlan20. On vlan10 there will be 5 PCs and on vlan20 there will be 5 PCs. PCs on vlan10 must not have access to the internet. I also have a NAS (network attached storage) which must not have access to the internet, however all PCs in both vlan10 and vlan20 should be able to access the NAS. Is this possible? How? Thanks in advance.
I’m wanting to setup 3 maybe 4 VLANs. Here is the issue I’m not sure about. I have a Cisco Router SV260W default gateway of 192.168.123.254. I have an Ubuntu Webserver static on 192.168.123.104. I am forwarding ports 8083 and 8080 to that address as well for the Server. So would like to leave that setup alone if possible. I have the following Ubiquiti equipment. 24 port POE switch, an 8 port 60 watt switch, 4 of the 5 port mini flex switches. I’m wanting the following VLANs. One for IoT, one for guest wifi access and one for my main LAN like doing my video editing. I also have a cloud key gen. 2. Do I have to set the VLANs in the Cisco router and the the 24 port switch. I even thought of changing over to an Edgerouter X even. So looking for some ideas on implimenting.
Thanks for watching. You can configure VLANS in your switch and apply static and dynamic routing in both router and switch.
Which switch you used in this
Hello! Do you plan to share any Huawei-related configuration videos as well?

hi are you based in uk
Here is what I am trying to achieve:
I want vlans 20 and 30 to have internet access but not to talk to each other. How can I go about it?
Did you define dhcp in l३ switch itself
Thanks for watching... No I didn't configure DHCP on L3 switch
I think ISP uses public ip as it's address but here the isp address is in private network ...Is it possible to assign private network to the isp router ??
Thanks for watching... I connected Cisco Router to ISP home internet Router. Ip coming from ISP is public ip but the home router is DHCP enabled where the netwirk ip is private.
Thanks

Thanks for watching.
hello sir.how to know if i have swich cisco layer 2 or layer 3?
Thanks for watching...
1st option: If you are able to configure"ip routing" command on the switch then it is a layer 3 switch otherwise it is a layer 2 switch.
2nd option: run command #sh license detail all. Then you can check the license level in the switch. If it is lanbase, then it is meant only for layer 2.
If the license level is either ip base or ipservices it is a layer 3 switch.
Hope you got the answer.
Thanks
@@itsupportpeople219 make vidio layer 2 and layer3 diffrent sir?
Thanks for your suggestions
@@itsupportpeople219 catalyst 3550 series that layer2 or layer3 sir?
I want to ask you enable eigp on router but you write command
Network 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0
For that but for specific network we use wild card mask for that
Eg- network 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255
We use wild card mask. ..why u use subnet mass to advertise network.
I am waiting for response😃
What i actually want to know is; is the internet access "FREE" or the internet access is from the home router, monthly/yearly Data subscription?
No it's not free it has monthly subscription fee depends on the service provider.
Thanks
