- In this video I share my first UX design portfolio website. This website helped me to land my first professional UX design job. I'll show you my portfolio website - unedited - and walk you through the case studies I used to launch my UX design professional career. I'll also give you my best advice for new designer and beginners to help you break through the obstacle of crafting your own portfolio website!
In this video, I'll share advice on what sections to include in both your website and case studies, tips on how to structure your case studies, and also how to brand yourself as a new designer to be competitive in the current UX design job field.

I am glad I came across your channel. I’m taking the google certification in class and almost done, but am trying to figure out how to best go about making a portfolio for the ux/ui world.

@@imerinkate I think it's the mechanics of it all. Learning all the new software, being in a new field and starting from scratch, but I am aiming for positivity. Even though it's all new and a challenge I have to remember to take it step by step. I may have to book you since I am looking for a mentor on this new journey as well.

Hi, I'm glad to hear you're finding my content helpful. As for having a ppt for each case study, it is not necessary. When I have found a need for my case study to be a ppt is 1. When I'm outreached by a recruiter and they specifically want a pdf or ppt case study to send to the company they're recruiting for and 2. when I want to create a case study for a company that has asked that I do not publicly share the work I've done for them. Otherwise, creating case studies on your website is the way to go.

Hey there! Yes, I used Miro. Nowadays, I’d recommend just using Figma or Figjam.

Also, my main advice for any bootcamp- focus on using Figma as your design tool if you are looking to land a job in the American market.. It’s free and there’s no need to invest in other tools to start (Sketch, Adobe XD).
