He did postgraduates studies at Umeå Institute of Design, Imperial College of London and Royal College of Art. He had developed different patents on structural and deployable systems. His works have been shown in different artistic centres such as the Cite de l'Architecture of Paris and the Venice Biennale of Architecture. As a lecturer he has collaborated with different universities and institutions as Cornell University (USA), CEPT (India), Ecoweek (Kosovo), Ilhan Koman Foundation (Turkey) or BIAU (Colombia). He also worked for more than ten years as an improvisation actor, and awarded with the Gold Medal in the II Improvisation World Championship celebrated in 2009 Santiago de Chile. Rodrigo works and does architectural experiments in cooperation with Maciej Siuda on a permanent basis. Doubt too big. Otherwise the skin of the vessel would have to be very thick to hold the weight of enough water to make an impact on a fire.

    I think that when this product it perfected we will be able to package in it anything! Such as shampoo, conditioner, hand soap etc. I wonder if that would be possible because of the reactions taking place.. Imagine having this little cute bowl in your shower and picking up an ooho full of shampoo and just wash your hair that way! It would be so amazing and beautiful!

      Future problem is endangered seaweed. We will deplete the oceans supply in 20 years and they will be crying again claiming we have to go to water filled pigs intestines or something. Let's see the study of the effect on the oceans seaweed which is a huge plant that our fish and other sea life use to survive. They also filter our oceans. So now let's distroy the oceans seaweed supply for profit. SMFH. Clean up our plastic filled ocean and go back to glass which caused zero problems. Infact the fish and sea urchins made homes out if it.

    • @OriginalPuro
      @OriginalPuro Před 7 lety +7

      Yes, it is needed, by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean will outnumber the amount of fish, if you think everyone will carry a bottle around you're naive, people are consumerists and they purchase and throw away, that's why there is a problem of plastic in the first place!
      Damn I wish more people just .. got it.

    • @marcosdiogenes9380
      @marcosdiogenes9380 Před 7 lety +6

      PuroYO I just wish it was a better solution. This seems Impossible to carry around without the risk of it bursting and getting everything wet. That's why bottles exist in the first place.
      I just can't see this as a smart solution to our filthy garbage problem.
      We could reduce this drastically by buying a galon to wash and refill everyday.

    Some of this guys stats are incorrect...when you buy a bottle of water the cost isn't 90% for the bottle...its the cost of shipping weight usually on trucks & boats burning gas. Another thing to consider especially during a time of pandemic is this recipe has been known for many years and hasn't been utilized on mass scale by the corporate giants who are already in the beverage sector of the market because of health risks. In its current state this is a novelty and not a replacement for plastic bottles.People should simply reuse and reduce use of plastic containers instead of buying into an unnecessary gimmick.

I think my biggest constraint is how hard it would be to drink a lot of water from these... if you had a hard shell biodegradable bottle you may not want to eat it but you could make it much bigger (like the size of plastic bottles) and then I think this could become mainstream

    This is your solution for global garbage problem? C'mon, are you serious? We had the perfectly working system of RETURNABLE BOTTLES in eastern europe, we had EVERYTHING in returnable bottles, from milk to water and beer, everything. There was an industry focused on the reusage, transport and cleaning of glass bottles, which gave work to hundreds of people. Nobody had to think about susteinability those days, it was just sustainable, it was the normal way of thinking. Then global corporations came in 1990 and the fist thing they destroyed was this system, on the reason that reusing bottles is not clean enough by europeean standards (it was good enough for us for 50-60 years), then they had it substituted with throwable, disposable everything. They bought up our bottle packaging lines and replaced it with plastic packaging lines. All this WITHOUT creating the sustainable infractructure for destroying/handling the huge amount of garbage this kind of throwable culture creates. Now all eastern europe is drowning in imported garbage. Shame on you, EU, this is just another one of the reasons (among countless others) eastern europe will get rid of EU as soon as we can.

      First off your mindset is amazing because the core understanding is correct. There are many things in life that can be reused/recycled. But the analogy of viruses and bacteria is easily transferable through any of you mucus membrane, along with a touch of fear makes everything come to question. This is a proper solution. Think about it no reusability, just consumption and what's awesome bio-degradable. Maybe this generation I'm in my late 20's might not be able to fully apply this. But it's definitely something that's amazing for centuries to come. Lastly compare analogy bottle-ooho to touchscreen phone-iPhone

      in germany we just started to do the returnable bottle thing with the plastic bottles when glass became les and less used...maybe your country should try that...would maybe bring at least some of the jobs back your country lost because of this change...just to explain the system...when we buy something in a plastic bottle we pay 25 cents extra for the bottle...then when we emptied it at home, we bring it back to the supermarket and get our 25 cents back (lets be real the 25 cents we just have to "pay" so the people bring the bottles back to get their money back...but it works)...maybe that would be an option for you instead of just complaining how it is now
      and before you say we just send these bottles then to other countrys so they can handle our garbage-thats not true the one-way bottles are shredded and are for example made to fleece...not the perfect solution but still better than having plastic bottles swimming in the ocean or laying around in the sea
