Looking forward to the next few years of legit contention. Atm I believe we are lacking a left handed, OF bat. My #1 choice would be bringing back Josh Reddick. Gap power, Gold Glove talent and championship experience. Let's make a deal Hou.
LOL, like The A's have that kind of money. Even still, the trade would be Houston taking Olson, Chapman, and probably Laureano. Then they're right back where they started.
Pixel, I think you're overvaluing Reddick. I wouldn't trade any of those players straight up for Reddick. My point is that a left-batting outfielder with strong defense and intangibles could give us a borderline elite team. I think Corey Dickerson could fit in as well, if not better than Red. Also, Joey Gallo is good but would make the linuep overly dependent on the long ball.
@@Dommy11I agree with what your saying, and I wouldn't be overvaluing Reddick. Houston, and Reddick himself would. With that being said, do you think Nick Martini could potentially be that player? He hits decently well, bats left, and his defense isn't outstanding, but it can be.
Martini was solid last year. He saw a lot of pitches and got on base a lot (.396 OBP) which is key for a leadoff hitter. That being said his .125 BA vs LHP and one HR in 55 games at a traditional power hitting position would have to dramatically improve for him to help take the team to the next level.
We need another starting pitcher. A number 1 type. That's our weak spot starting pitching. We have offense we have defense and we have the bullpen (even though I think Rodney needs to go). We should package Fowler and Barretto for a starter gotta remember we are the A's unless we can trade for 1 we ain't getting 1.
As a Jays fan, I am consuming all the Matt Chapman content out there. Thanks for this
Most fun I’ve had watching baseball in a minute.
Literal GOAT
I’m lovin’ him
Chapman has seen this video!!!
Brad Pitt for sure knows how to find 3B
Oakland do not lose this guy ever!!! I cannot be more clear as a Mariner fan hes super fun and a really good player. DONT LET HIM GET AWAY
Bad news
That’s OUR Platinum/Gold Glove winner!!!!
Only highlight missing is the footage of Chappie getting progressively drunker in the locker room in Seattle the day they clinched a playoff spot.
