      I think it at least helps eliminate what issue it actually is . Some time after I still took my boat to have the carborators cleaned reall good . But helped the mechanic when I explained how I had tried to clean them. And saved me few dollars on searching what it could be . Now I run this product in my gas all the time . 1 Oz per 5 gallons . God bless .

    I run a 03 Johnson 115 and had similar starting issues. After watching several CZcams videos, I disabled the VRO pump and mixed my gas and oil by hand. That improved my starting immediately but idle speed was still a bit rough.
    I used Seafoam and ran 9 gallons through the motor hard. The result was impressive.
    The motor now cold starts instantly and the idle rpm went from 550 to about 900. It runs like it was new.

      Yeah my motor is older I still have to mix the oil in the gas manually . About a month after this video which helped I had a friend mechanic deep clean my carborators and change all the seals . Improved even more . And I put a new fuel filter . Runs like new now . Thanks for your statement . Hope that it helps some one as well. That’s my goal. Just to help some having problems . God bless.

      @@cliffordsreellife7323 You're welcome. I have a 17 ft, 1980 Boston Whaler that I fully restored. The 115 can hit the mid-forties with a lot of torque. Great old motors and it still looks like a modern powerhead.

    I did the same thing for my 1985 Evinrude 115 by suggestion of another CZcams video that suggests 1 gallon gas plus 1 full can of Seafoam. I took it a step further and used Ethanol free gas ($23 a gallon at Home Depot) that I always have in the garage for my small 4 stroke lawn care tools. My outboard is running like new again. It was worth the $23.

    Now for my question. I bought an old jet boat that uses a 115 johnson-evenrude engine
    This boat has been sitting for about 6 years
    Can you please tell me the steps I can take to make it make worthy
    I think I would need to change the spark plugs
    Your comments are greatly appreciated

    That's a fuel stabilizer, you use when you don't use the boat in the off season to stop the fuel going stale. You want Evinrude / Johnson engine tuner, Mercury call it power tune. Follow the directions on the can. But when it's all said and done as @MikeSmith-nu9wt indicated below, it needs a full fuel system overhaul. AND DON'T cheap out on those fuel connectors and primer bulbs, use the genuine ones if you can still get them. Also from memory that motor would have used Champion Ql77jc4 spark plugs. You could try NGK B9hs-10 they burn a touch hotter and change them every 40 hrs or so. Gap them to 1.0mm .

    I have a different outlook on that , your fuel ..well let's face it , it gets dirt in it , fuel manufacturers are a joke also ..if you have a fuel problem and you bought the equipment new , you didn't follow manufacturers recommendations, or manufacturers were to stupid too include this part , if you find it's a fuel problem , a mechanic goes through the fuel system and cleans it , completely. Every single part and aspect of it , your gonna learn what you dont need to tear down after the first time , by the time that happens , every hose , every piece of plastic or rubber , needs to be replaced ..if you think there's a magical chemical you can put anywhere in any machine that will help it , your drinking the Kool aid ..now some fuel additives will group the water together in a gas tank , but that won't really solve nothing ..that water still goes through eventually , the goal is to keep the water out ..now with that said , if you dont use your boat enough to burn out a tank of gas every 3 months , and I dont care about your winters , you might wanta reevaluate the reason you bought the boat ..or piece of equipment .use them or nature will take them back , I know what people do to get their toys , what happened ? Just my thoughts , don't judge me , for I really know nothing .. Lol

    Take the terrorist decal off and it will run better!

    • @cliffordsreellife7323
      @cliffordsreellife7323  Před 3 měsíci +5

      What decal? If you are referring to the fish with the three crosses ? Then I’m sorry you misunderstand the meaning . That doesn’t represent a terorist. That represents the greatest man that has ever walked this earth. His name is Jesus Christ. He came and died on the middle cross . To take my place for my sins and the whole world . He rose from the dead 3 days later and is sitting by His God Father in Heaven . He will be coming back to rule this earth. Even if you don’t understand him . He still loves you. Thats the kind of man he is. Always helping us who are weak. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t even have the motor or the boat. Motors are material things and will always tear up and need replaced . But your soul will last forever . Jesus wants to help you save your soul. Because all in sin will follow not like eternity without God. In love he warned us all. So that decal actually represents love for the whole world . He fed thousands with just few fish. Gif bless you my friend and anyone who reads this. I’m the least of all Christian’s . And am blessed to use his motor for a short time . Hope you have a great day.

    i was fighting a hard starting cold 1996 J 115 for 6 years .i took it in to have worked on and was told by the mechanic to push and hold the primer for 5 seconds put the controls in neutral and give it1/3 throttle in reverse and i'll be damned it starts right up no cranking and cranking for 5 to 10 minuets.
