7:30 If you hold right shift on your keyboard and right click you can cut and delete the shorter part of an audio clip. Once you let go you'll go straight back to the pencil.

You can also run a line in and choose that mixer track and enable the line to have audio direct. Just another tip. I can’t ever get MPC software to act right as vst

I'll always have a special place in my heart for FL, but the daw that is made for the MPC is incredible. So much so that I only open up FL studio when I start feeling bad that I haven't used it in so long. Using the MPC hardware with the MPC software just feels right.

I used it the opposite way ,With Mpc software open 1st and used the FL as a plugin for the standalone

it seems like I'd have to chop the accapella up for each sequence or am I missing something (very likely)
this is just general question to anyone btw... I know I can play a whole accapella as a sample...but then it limits me to staying on that one sequence?...which kinda defeats the purpose because it makes editing and arranging destructive...its like making a whole song on one pattern in FL..
or maybe you can record the accapella as audio in mpc beats?...but that seems a bit of a long way to do things...
which is why FL + mpc is great they seemingly compliment a hole in the others game 🔥🔥🔥

Great video! Question, is your fan on Mac more sensitive when using Fl? Like mine seems to go crazy more than when I was using PC ! I have a newer Mac, top of the line specs. I’m assuming it’s Fl studio on Mac but I could be wrong

You forgot one thing. Customization was a top priority for the latest main update. I am a visual person and a 3D Character Artist professional and the use of themes always resonated with me using FL Studio compared to the other DAWs back then. I now like what Image-Line has done for the customers and actually listened to them including the likes of me. The GUI is highly adapted refined and polished compared to previous. I still don't know why people would use FL Studio 10 unless they have pirated software which I have an actual license which allows me to upgrade anytime which again I am grateful to Image-Line for giving free updates for life, lifetime upgrades.

@@AveMcree Ah I see your point as well on the other thread. I believe though FL Studio functions the best out of every other DAW including Ableton. The software allows for removing third party plugins that could have corrupted the project after saving and closing. Also FL Studio never crashed on me not even once since the longest I used it, maybe since 7. After I found out about the diagnostics tool I use that when I have a third party vst that malfunctions in the likes of Movement by Output. But yes I would attest to it having a balance of both good looks and functionality. But since I mostly use other developer plugins that is my only issue with it working with FL Studio but it is rarely and only after the project is closed and reopened and with current VST3 plugins not the old standard of VST2.
Same here. I hope enough people keep buying it to make it worthwhile for them to keep improving it, as new ideas are discovered.
Not sure about the previous version cuz i never really used it but downloaded the trial to check it out and thought it was pretty dope they give you the option to use your Fl mobile projects inside FL Studio. The MPC plug-in works flawlessly too which was a breath of fresh air. I been trying to narrow down my daw choices cuz I work mostly standalone so it’s down to FL or Logic cuz they’re both similarly priced as of right now. What you think? Which one would you prefer using with the MPC? Already tried ableton too and didn’t like it. Mostly cuz I have no idea what I’m doing and don’t have the time to learn ableton.

If you're handy with MIDI routing, you can also use 5-PIN MIDI to control FL Studio with an MPC One, X, Live.
You can control the MPC One, X, Live from FL Studio (or really any DAW) with this method also.

I love FL and MPC and although you can clock it now it is not without fault i find my mpc and Fl constantly falling out of sync and if i try to edit a specific area on Fl the mpc doesn’t sync up and vice versa. I wouldn’t mind the mpc vst but it doesn’t work in Fl only mpc beats works but I’m not trying to be limited to 8 tracks. So sadly I’m switching from Fl not sure what to but I’m definitely going to have to switch.
Perhaps that can be fixed in an update?
I’m think why ? I have fl studios and MPC2 on my MacBook and the MPC Software drums hit harder have a hardware sound .when you export with the MPC Software it sounds the same high quality, it sounds mastered .

Ave, thanks so much for your tutorials. I just bought the 61 key and have a question. For some reason I cannot make it bounce from midi to audio. I have more than enough memory (14 gigs) as well as a fat32 formatted 1tb scandisk ssd that the keyboard is recognizing and saving to. What do you think I'm doing wrong? It seems to be a straighforward operation go to the track, click the pencil and click bounce to vocal. I read somewhere that this is a software update glitch but I'm brand new so any help you provide is appreciated!
Sounds like you need to exchange the 61 for another one. If that doesn’t work. You need to replace the hard drive.

Personally I don't like this workflow , because you lose all the mpc control section. It should work ala rewire when the guest can (optionally) tell the host's playhead what to do how and when to move. Nice video though.

Everyone is going mental about crossfading. I've never felt the need to use crossfading ever using FL since 2002 but then again I never liked the sampler. I like using 3rd party samplers. I feel like for drum samples you generally don't want them to cross fade. Maybe for vocals. I do like the fade in and out, and volume control from the playlist for sure.
The reverb plugin so far is amazing. They should sell it as a 3rd party plugin for other daw users. Also, the changes to the browser makes it so much easier to find samples.
