  • 4/28/2024 - How fast or slow can I run 400 meters on a nice high school all-weather track? I decided to find out and my time was 1 minute 37.23 seconds.
My yesteryear claim to fame is that I ran this distance in 1 minute 4 seconds at age 53 at an all-comers track meet.

Well Done!... I've been enjoying the biweekly 50 yard Sprints

Thanks and great for you. 50 meters would probably be a better distance for me rather than the 100 meters. May try again today.

I ran track in high school, cross country. I'm 66 and I still try to run. I say try because for some reason I am always pulling my calf muscles. So annoying. I like to actually walk/run eventually doing more running than walking but darn, I have to figure out how to not pull my calfs. Good job. You probably were not breathing hard because of all the burpees you've been doing.

Run, walk, run is a safe way to remain in the running game.
My breathing was OK thanks to burps training but quads fatigue kicked in and my turnover speed legt much to be desired.
