The moment you hear this... it's just golden. Not only because of the nostalgia, but also because you know how close to the end you are. Without this song, I would've hated this level.
The person on the dev team who thought of saving the classic Castlevania songs for the very end of the game is a fucking genius. It makes the last stages so much more epic and emotional.
I played this game from the beginning to the end while my 4yo son was watching yesterday. He was exhilarated, his body was twitching on every difficult jump, dodge and when I swung over a pit. During the boss fights he was as focused as I was. Today I started playing this track from this video, and my son came to the computer and asked "Why is there that sound?" (he meant the music). I asked "Does it sound familiar?" and he exclaimed "Of course!" and climbed on my lap. He said; "I want to play that game. I want to beat that game." He smiled shyly because we both knew it wasn't going to happen today, but I asked; "Do you want to play the game?" He gave an affirmative nod and we went to play the game.
This version is so despairing, yet...hopeful?? That’s what I love about it this particular version. It’s like you’re at the end but no matter how many times evil has triumphed, you’re so close to being at the end of the nightmare and restoring good to humanity. It fits perfectly🖤
The flute at 0:42-0:48 is what makes this version of the song so special, I believe. No other version has it that I know of, and it really elevates the hook.
I doubted that someone could ever make a better version of this theme, but when I got to this stage I busted out in tears... such a childhood vibe. This theme is EPIC! And this version is INSANE!
For a cartridge game back then this was top tier sound that’s unforgettable. I yet to hear a perfect rendition using live instruments such as violins, double bass, drums, bass drum, flute, 18 century piano and organ.
So sad and so Beautiful . . .this song never gets old. You touched my soul with it. Long live Castlevania . . . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The video game renaissance is never over. This song proofs that. And if it will ever die, I just remember this game, and this song. True epicness at heart. It sends a shiver down my spine, and it's impact will never wear thin.
Haha, I remember back when this game first came out, we were at a video rental store, and my mom thought this game was a movie based on the cover. One of the best tracks in the game's overall awesome soundtrack.
0:42-0:55 best part of any Bloody Tears...until it slows down and comes to a stop. Damn...could have looped so much better. 0:42 sounds like Golden Sun, no?
When I heard this song in the nextflix series of Castlevania I got teary! I felt so nostalgic! My childhood! All those hours of play! Great times! Awesome memories!
No other version, not even Rondo of Blood, has ever properly matched this version of Bloody Tears. On top of that, everyone who takes this song on as a remix, seems to ignore the two climaxes. They are either covering the Simons Quest version (which is fine), or when they do try to cover this one, completely forget the fact that the 2nd Climax only works if there is a jarring shift in the instruments, from upper range strings and propulsive beats and organ playing, to full blown dramatic improvised Orchestra hit sample, practically drowning in the low end in the last 15 seconds. The noise coming out of that SNES Midi chip (particularly the Timpani and low end Slow string swells) is impressive as hell, and may not be duplicatable considering the muddiness at the end actually adds to the dramatic shift. Still, it blows my mind that no cover of this has figured out that the reason this version works so well is that shift between organ and minimalist progressive drum at an up temp, into something much more dramatic. Instead most covers I've heard start with the synth orchestra (which inherently gives away the shift in tone), or dramatically slows down the tempo (which ruins the mood). Maybe I'll break out the old korg someday attempt to cover this the way I'm describing. It just blows my mind that 28 years later, no remixes have gotten this one quite right.
This song was perfect for me on this game getting that far and then rembered this song from Castlevania 2 and how you beat it and the other instalments, and your like I got this lol.
I remember when i started to.play it just because to get to the clock tower level and hear this awesome track By the way the whole ost is an epic master piece but this tracks the best
who ever did this thank you soooo much. u just shot me back to my childhood. Castlevania 4 is probably other than 007 goldeneye......is my favorite game of all time.....thnx
There was some kind of Jazzy Muzak that was played on speakers in grocery stores that this music reminds me of. Of course the energy here is more fun with it being Bloody Tears/CastleVania.
@Heartbre4k3r I think the same thing about simon's quest. That was the first CV game I played, and the nonlinearity of it made it very interesting to me. I liked Silence of Daylight, Bloody Tears, and the Monster Dance songs. I never beat it but always remembered the music.
The moment you hear this... it's just golden. Not only because of the nostalgia, but also because you know how close to the end you are. Without this song, I would've hated this level.
PeyserConley X song reminds you of progress..like u have come a long way
J.T.R. 313 It does! OMG! I used to play the game just to get to this level and hear the music. Man..
@@evileast282 if you want the password to the level i can give you
I hated that level with that song xD. But I love the song
This song screams something like: "You have gone through a lot. don´t give up now!"
so true!
Instead of its original Castlevania II context of "What a horrible night to have a curse." ;)
Uuuuhhh... you're fucking right my friend
It’s the final trial before Dracula’s castle u must keep going all the way
Specifically 0:44 - 0:59
it's like having a nostalgic memory of a Nintendo game....Within another Nintendo game :D
+BergieOldSchool Blew my fuckin' balls off! ;)
+BergieOldSchool AVGN
+chuckobscure and its not a shitload of fuck
That's right and it feels great that someone uploaded the whole OST. Thanks for the great memories!!! 😁
and it's not dog diarrhea
The person on the dev team who thought of saving the classic Castlevania songs for the very end of the game is a fucking genius. It makes the last stages so much more epic and emotional.
The ultimate version of Bloody Tears.
Castlevania Judgement's version is the bomb!
Super Castlevania IV's version is god.
Rondo of blood's version is SJJG.
Doc DarkAngelo Versions of bloody tears like the Snes version is amazing including Dracula X.
Dawn of sorrow's is good
The Final Form of Bloody Tears.
TurboGrafx-CD Castlevania: Rondo of Blood far better sounding.
"It's the like the nostalgic memories of a Nintendo game, within another Nintendo game."
The End Is Near...
This theme damn sure gave that impression.
No. For there is no ultimate version - ALL versions transcend time, space, opinions and all existence! FOREVER!!! (repeated for absolute truth)
song sounds like progress is being made
My kids won't ever understand how epic this was when hearing this theme when I was about their age.
True mate. They'll never know what type of things we went through at their age
Totally agree 🙃

This is the best version pf Bloody Tears.
You can't change my mind.
perfect game to play on the month of october
Arz2003
Agreed
I did it recently, that is why i came to listen to this track. :D
Right next to Demon Crest
Or Luigi's mansion
I'm going to beat the game now before November 1st, wish me luck (i'm in The Library)
The flute at 0:42-0:48 is what makes this version of the song so special, I believe. No other version has it that I know of, and it really elevates the hook.
Sometimes it’s the smallest thing, like a 2 second harmony or in this case, a few seconds of flute that entirely change the way a track sounds.
This is one of the tracks that really shows off the SNES sound chip's ability to produce really clean, low bass.
I doubted that someone could ever make a better version of this theme, but when I got to this stage I busted out in tears... such a childhood vibe. This theme is EPIC! And this version is INSANE!
Best version. Dat atmosphere.
Badass timpani
Belmont is like, "okay: it's go-time."
Exactly
Always loved that grinding-to-a-halt trick before the loop.
It's so beautiful.
holy heck!
WHAT IS THIS
For a cartridge game back then this was top tier sound that’s unforgettable. I yet to hear a perfect rendition using live instruments such as violins, double bass, drums, bass drum, flute, 18 century piano and organ.
this is probably my favorite on the album, i used to play this repeatedly when I had the SNES
I only wish someone would make a cover of this with the instruments the speaker is imitating... And without sticking the damn electric guitar in it.
Amen to that!
Vania is metal, sorry homie
@@Slushhole You spelled "doom" wrong.
mksmike because only one game can use a music genre.

Nathaniel Johnson well said
Dawex23 Thanks.
When I first got to this part and heard this "remastered" version of bloody tears, nostalgia jizz flew everywhere
That's the best kind.
Essa é a melhor versão dessa música na minha opinião
Bloody Tears is just a wonderful composition. Nothing beats the original Bloody Tears, but this version comes close.
What fan of castlevania doesn't remember this epic music :')
Made me cry of how beautiful it is
the theme is like ''¡yes i am almost at the end nothing can stop me!''... until ¡that damned falling cogwheels and the medusa heads!
Anyo Gambito song says "u come so far"
Kick ass version of Bloody Tears.
i wrote my math exam today and this was playing in my head the whole time... i never even got this far
This song never gets old, and when someone covers it with an electric guitar it always sounds tight.
This objectively is the best version of objectively best song whole Castlevania franchise and beyond. You cannot deny it!
When this song first hits, you make one choice, to see this game through.
Beautiful and epic!!! This track just gives it the legendary feel of Simon Belmont moving thru and slaying all evil!!😊👍👏
ahhhh the classic
Perfect Halloween music!
Melhor musica de todos os castlevania sem duvidas, blood Tears um classico
até aqui tu tá

When the music takes you another dimension, you know the game is legendary.
The moment you hear this, it's just memorable and send shivers down your spine. I love this version of Bloody Tears.
I loved this stage the gears inside the clocktower slown down and then stop along with the music it was dope
The use of timpani in this music track and others in this game is great.
My favorite track of this game !
an unforgettable track 100%
Still the best version of B.T, in my opinion. I still get goosebumps when I hear this, remembering playing this when I was like.. 5 or 6 lol
whoever disliked this needs to be punished by climbing the clock tower with the red whip
And only whipping horizontally. Also, no subweapons.
You mean the Leather Whip?
Whoever disliked this, probably lives in their mom's basement; eating pizza rolls and having xbox fights on a headset like a loser .
This is the BEST version

Simon's Quest is my favorite Castlevania game so hearing this remix made me jump as well as the SNES Vampire Killer and Beginnings remixes.
I hated 2:07 that was such a low point in the song
Dammit, you got me.
