Este señor decia que eran compañeros de escuela y como fueron las cosas entonces, contó que no era muy apreciado por sus compañeros o algo así y después cuando estuvo en ese programa en la tele, al otro día lo miraron distinto y la mestra lo felicitó si mal no recuerdo. Esto es lo que él contó. Y en ese momento tenia 10 años. Además hay otra cuestión, y es el acento mexicano que él ya tenía. Suponiendo que él hubiera llegado a México por primera vez recién a los 11 años, ya cuando empezó su carrera no mucho después hablaba perfectamente como mexicano, según mi parecer, no como español. ¿Cómo va a adquirir el acento tan rápido? He is legendary and he influenced a whole generation after him. He pioneered "Bolero" music which was popular in the early 50s and 60s to the 80s and 90s generation of youth including myself (I’m 21 btw) and he’s music still stands and will forever stand.

His dad is Spanish and mother is Italian and was born in Puerto Rico, but is a national legend in Mexico. He considers himself a Mexican singer and Mexicans consider him a Mexican Singer. His career started in Mexico in the 1978-80. I remember him in the 1980 when I visited Mexico. He was a big entertainer at the time also.

He is not known by english speakers, because he did not do an english crossover, he is one of the few or perhaps the only Latino who hasn't sang in english.To add he has never done a collaboration with any other artist except at the age of 14 with shenna esaton.Despite this he was the first Latin artist to have 3 albums go Multi Platinum in the US with fully composed spanish songs. Other Latin artist later on achieved platinum status but by singing in english like Ricky Martin with the "Cup of Life" Shakira 'Hips dont lie" Enrique Iglesias "Hero Marc Anthony "I need to know" and so on

He's been doing this since he was 10 years old! Won his first Grammy at 15! So yeah, his voice is AWESOME!!! I saw him in concert in 2000 in NYC and he was spectacular! Everybody was going crazy just like in this video. In Latin music he is a legend and he sang with Frank Sinatra on his Duets album. The song they did was " Come Fly With Me." I love him, his voice is truly a gift from God and not bad to look at either!!! Thanks for choosing this song!

The latino community knows him as "The Sun of Mexico".... Been listening to him since I was a kid (now near 40) and his style just never gets old. He also has some of the most sophisticated stage setups and has had the same musicians and backup singers for the larger part of his career, it is why they perform so flawlessly together. I encourage you to watch the entire "VIVO 2000" concert, just an amazing performance, high energy, and the chemistry between him and his fans as he performs is almost palpable.

LM has declined many times to do the so-called "crossover" to English, unlike so many Spanish singers have done. Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and so many others have done the "crossover" without having the voice or talent that LUIS MIGUEL has. Technically Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, both successful in two languages Marc Anthony etc. never crossed over just a generation of artists who grew up surrounded by both two popular languages & culture. You forgot English is spoken in Miami were Enrique Iglesias grew up attending a English Prep School. Ricky Martin was born & raised in Puerto Rico were English is spoken to an extent, though Menudo did sing in English not as much as Spanish, the boy band RM was part of. Marc Anthony grew up in NYC & quoted something interesting in a interview back in 1999 with the so called Latin crossover trend. "I started out singing in English, so what am I crossing over to? That makes it sound like I’m trying my hand at somebody else’s music. But I’m just as American as I am Puerto Rican. This is my music as much as anybody else’s.” So technically Shakira was the one born & raised in Columbia. Doing the crossover with the crosshelp of Emilo Estefan. I don't argue the voice, talent or success because points vary. Luis Miguel undeniable has left a footprint in Latino Music but personally is not the greatest Latino singer. Christian Castro may never have the success & fame of LM. But technically CC has a smoother high pitch voice with higher octaves that LM lacks. Perhaps a voice teacher or singer may understand. But to each own's opinion. Marc Anthony has a fascinating voice & career. Luis Enrique though not a fan, has been deemed the King of Latin Pop according to Wiki. Though I considered LM is the true King. The marketing drive, experimenting with different genres or sounds has given Enrique Iglesias a plus, say a duet with Pitbull. However I respect LM hasn't soldout with current trends. Ironically he choose to return with a comeback after a hiatus for whatever reason recording Mariachi music. Perhaps not the Millenial taste especially in Mexico or abroad with narco corridos, band grupera etc. even Reggaeton. But that's fine. Neither is classical music appreciated as much. & Venezuela has Gustavo Dudamel who has conducted famous symphonies in the world. Enough probably I'm boring. Peace to all. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to my father I grew up listening to his album "Romance" (which is a feast) but I never paid real attention to him until I watch his Netflix series, and he was killer even being a child. You should listen to "Ayer" which is in my opinion one of his best best best interpretations (in studio and live) and it´s a very interesting song composed in a very clever way (by 3 guys I can´t remember their names). He has some other more upbeat songs, but that´s my personal favorite. Glad you liked this one!

His dad is Spanish and mother is Italian and was born in Puerto Rico, but is a national legend in Mexico. He considers himself a Mexican singer and Mexicans consider him a Mexican Singer. His career started in Mexico in the 1978-80. I remember him in the 1980 when I visited Mexico. He was a big entertainer at the time also.

He is not known by english speakers, because he did not do an english crossover, he is one of the few or perhaps the only Latino who hasn't sang in english.To add he has never done a collaboration with any other artist except at the age of 14 with shenna esaton.Despite this he was the first Latin artist to have 3 albums go Multi Platinum in the US with fully composed spanish songs. Other Latin artist later on achieved platinum status but by singing in english like Ricky Martin with the "Cup of Life" Shakira 'Hips dont lie" Enrique Iglesias "Hero Marc Anthony "I need to know" and so on

He's been doing this since he was 10 years old! Won his first Grammy at 15! So yeah, his voice is AWESOME!!! I saw him in concert in 2000 in NYC and he was spectacular! Everybody was going crazy just like in this video. In Latin music he is a legend and he sang with Frank Sinatra on his Duets album. The song they did was " Come Fly With Me." I love him, his voice is truly a gift from God and not bad to look at either!!! Thanks for choosing this song!

Been listening to him since I was a kid (now near 40) and his style just never gets old. He also has some of the most sophisticated stage setups and has had the same musicians and backup singers for the larger part of his career, it is why they perform so flawlessly together. I encourage you to watch the entire "VIVO 2000" concert, just an amazing performance, high energy, and the chemistry between him and his fans as he performs is almost palpable.
watching this video I realized how much I like Luis Miguel, I have some of his cd's but I never seen him live, I guess by the end of 2018 he will do a tour here in USA, definitively will check his tour, too bad his shows are sold out quickly....

LM has declined many times to do the so-called "crossover" to English, unlike so many Spanish singers have done. Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and so many others have done the "crossover" without having the voice or talent that LUIS MIGUEL has. So we totally understand that you're not familiar with his work. Nice video btw!

Technically Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, both successful in two languages Marc Anthony etc. never crossed over just a generation of artists who grew up surrounded by both two popular languages & culture. You forgot English is spoken in Miami were Enrique Iglesias grew up attending a English Prep School. Ricky Martin was born & raised in Puerto Rico were English is spoken to an extent, though Menudo did sing in English not as much as Spanish, the boy band RM was part of. Marc Anthony grew up in NYC & quoted something interesting in a interview back in 1999 with the so called Latin crossover trend. "I started out singing in English, so what am I crossing over to? That makes it sound like I’m trying my hand at somebody else’s music. But I’m just as American as I am Puerto Rican. This is my music as much as anybody else’s.”
So technically Shakira was the one born & raised in Columbia. Doing the crossover with the crosshelp of Emilo Estefan. I don't argue the voice, talent or success because points vary. Luis Miguel undeniable has left a footprint in Latino Music but personally is not the greatest Latino singer. Christian Castro may never have the success & fame of LM. But technically CC has a smoother high pitch voice with higher octaves that LM lacks. Perhaps a voice teacher or singer may understand. But to each own's opinion. Marc Anthony has a fascinating voice & career. Luis Enrique though not a fan, has been deemed the King of Latin Pop according to Wiki. Though I considered LM is the true King. The marketing drive, experimenting with different genres or sounds has given Enrique Iglesias a plus, say a duet with Pitbull. However I respect LM hasn't soldout with current trends. Ironically he choose to return with a comeback after a hiatus for whatever reason recording Mariachi music. Perhaps not the Millenial taste especially in Mexico or abroad with narco corridos, band grupera etc. even Reggaeton. But that's fine. Neither is classical music appreciated as much. & Venezuela has Gustavo Dudamel who has conducted famous symphonies in the world. Enough probably I'm boring. Peace to all. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to my father I grew up listening to his album "Romance" (which is a feast) but I never paid real attention to him until I watch his Netflix series, and he was killer even being a child. You should listen to "Ayer" which is in my opinion one of his best best best interpretations (in studio and live) and it´s a very interesting song composed in a very clever way (by 3 guys I can´t remember their names). He has some other more upbeat songs, but that´s my personal favorite. Glad you liked this one!
