The Gospels are Anonymous?

Each Gospel would have to begin how Apostle Paul's letters began in order to not be anonymous. For example, here is how Paul's letter to the Christians in Rome began,
"Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures... (Romans 1:1-2 NASB

Biographical works back then didn't usually cite the author besides on the title page or cover, not in the text itself.
Though some NT books authorship is disputed by the early church, all four gospels are attributed only to Matthew Mark Luke and John.
