This is one of my favourite movies ever. Emilia should have got an Oscar for that performance. Just learning ASL alone is like learning a complete language in two dimensions. How can anyone DO that in nine months??? I was never a fan of her dad, but I bet he is proud as f of her. All the cast in this movie were brilliant. I demand a sequel!!!

Emilia Jones deserves to win an Oscar for her absolutely winning performance.

The movie title is appropriate to award an Oscar to Emilia Jones.

What a fantastic film and performance. I’m sobbing now having just watched the film. It was so moving. And so real. And Emelia is incredible. Not just as an actor but as a singer. First movie in a while that so very clearly deserved to win best picture. I can’t believe Emelia didn’t grow up in musical theater. She’s such a great singer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried when she sang this . . . so beautiful!

Being a CODA I must say this was an amazing movie I just lost my father last April. I JUST LOVED THE SCENE WITH FRANK HOLDING HIS HAND TO HER VOCAL CORDS IT WAS SO EMOTIONAL FOR ME AND HIT HOME HARD BECAUSE THAT WAS ME AND MY DAD. You really had the most incredible performance in this entire movie. BRAVO Emilia

For the first time in about 10 years the Academy final picked a great movie as Best Picture.

Her voice is incredibly BEAUTIFUL!! I cry when I hear her sing this song. That’s how beautiful she sounds! I have never loved this song more than I do after hearing her sing it.

It's amazing to me how quickly she picked up sign language. But not only that, she had to memorize a script in both speaking and sign! Blows my mind. I can't wait to see this movie.

Emilia’s compelling performance in the movie deserved no less than an Oscar award, and I felt it was unfair that she was not even nominated. Im sure Emilia’s immense talent will see her hoist the Oscar trophy in the not so distant future.

Wow! If she messed up, as she says she did, in the song near the phrase “I love you”, I sure didn’t detect it! (I went back to listen and her voice falters ever so slightly on the “and” in “dreams and schemes”. I wonder if that’s what she’s referring to?)
Mind you, I was unfamiliar with the song before this movie, so Ms. Jones’ performance of it is the authoritative performance for me. Any variation in the tune would just be artistic license.
Anyway, it was powerfully moving. I’m blown away that a 17-year-old did this-on two hours’ sleep no less!

It's so lovely that song and the emotion she brings to it. The signing takes it to a new level. Very talented, intelligent actress.

I have tried to learn sign language periodically over 25 yrs. And failed but I tried again and again and again. This renewed a passion where I had already given up. I have accepted that I stink (suck)but as long as we don't give up- that means there is a possibility of success. aina hey?

I have to wonder if “The Wrap” didn’t have a negative sounding headline just to draw attention..?
I’ve watched the “Both Sides Now” part idk how many times like such a sap.
