I cried a lot in that scene of her and her father where she was singing and he is feeling the song through the vibrations in her neck. Hands down to one of the most touching scenes in film history.
I also cried a lot with that scene, he found out that she can really sing and supports her on her dream
Absolutely, very touching
Can't get any more "touching" than that.
this scene gets teared up every time. simple yet so emotionally powerful. troy deserve his oscar
Seriously. This movie was a masterpiece.
Had no idea she has an English accent. Even more impressed with her CODA performance now.
It's like Florence Pugh. Everyone is surprised she's English, too!
I agree - and, she sang like an angel while she signed. I was surprised to learn that it wasn't dubbed.
Aled Jones daughter
She’s Welsh 🏴 😀
Check her out as an alien child singing opera in Dr. Who "The Rings of Akhenaten."
After hearing her surprisingly good singing voice in CODA, somebody should really cast her in a musical movie, she'd be perfect!
I read in wiki that she's been in some musical shows since childhood. Her father is Aled Jones, UK singer&actor.
@@YTantirungrotechai I know that, i did some research about her after watching CODA and her other stuff. The Jones generation is passed to the right people. I'm not aware that her father is a singer, but considering he is a singer and very popular in the UK, i can see why his daughter is good at singing too
@@15Candles I didn't know she could sing. I've watched "Ghostland" and she killed that acting. 👍🏽
My thoughts. Her voice reminds me of Sara Bareilles
Deaf Theatre West is creating a stage CODA. Their Big River & also Spring Awakening were amazing productions, I hope she can reprise CODA role when they hit Broadway
BTW been annoyed wasn’t up for best actress but now I realize she has British accent I’m absolutely gobsmacked
She will definitely become one of the most brilliant actress, she really nailed it in CODA, very touched and moved.
Her emotions with the ASL IS fascinating
I can't believe she's only 20 yet she shows so much class and maturity
Looks 30
My mum is a Coda with 2 deaf parents and a deaf brother so it was crazy and emotional to watch exactly what my mum went through in a movie!
im still crying...One of the best movies EVER and im 59, and now I found out she is British🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
she definitely should've been nominated for best actress!!
AMEN to that!
Should have been nominated absolutely…and won!
She gave up her accent
She did ASL
She sang beautifully
She added emotions
Above all She did all of the above together.
I don’t see who else should have won.
@@Yuvgup AND she said she had to learn about fishing! Definitely should have won the Oscar for Best Actress, but she wasn't even nominated. She was robbed!!!
who did win it?
Absolutely BRILLIANT young lady. She learned sign language, how to speak with an American accent and how to work a fishing boat, in a stunningly short span of time. Annnnnnd she is an outstanding actress in the movie - should have been nominated for an Oscar, imo. My hats off to this gifted actress.
Emilia is one of the most promising young actor working today. She was phenomenal in CODA She's so talented, I really wanna see what else she does in the future
She's also in Locke and Key too!
The emotion she has when Ruby communicates with her family is what has me watch that movie over and over and over.. I’ve always loved ASL and Marlee and Daniel for a long time now.. and wow Troy I need more things with him in it.. Emilia is going to be huge .. I have to go watch Locke and key now thank you
@@kyoto5 I know that, I watched that show, I always wonder what else she does other than Locke and Key
@Timothy yeah
me too...
gotta say, Jimmy’s a much better interviewer in this clip than he’d been the past 5 years. Barely interrupted, kept his laughter to a minimum, actually had a couple decent jokes, flow of conversation actually mostly unforced…
Keep it up Jimmy!
Totally how I feel! I like him so much but his fake laugh, over clapping, and constant retorts to guests talking drives me nuts!!!
She's insanely talented and so young. CODA is an incredible movie and she really was a gem in it.
She nailed American Accent, Sign Language, and Singing,
She is so young and adorably innocent in this video, yet she has amazing talent. I hope she keeps her innocents in years to come.
There has never been a movie where I have laughed and sobbed in equal strength.
This movie is the epitome of BEST PICTURE!
Goodness what a brilliant woman and amazing film 💕
Also B e a u t i f u l.
That clip was Troy Kotsur's Oscar- winning moment. From that clip you don't even notice he's deaf. You just see how much he loves his little girl and how much it makes his heart ache to let her go out on her own into the world.
She was so amazing in CODA, wish she would’ve at least been nominated for the Oscar
After seeing the film I was surprised that she wasn't.
the way that 10s clip just made me cry, incredible performance
When she opened up at Mr. V's house singing Both Sides Now, I almost broke out in tears.
Going from throat to diaphragm I'd just magical.
Joni Mitchell appeared at the Newport Festival this Sunday. Stunning! How everyone kept it together I don't know!
After seeing several interviews with the cast of CODA , it seems that Marlee and the other deaf actors that she was working closely with as well they are cast as her family, really took her under they’re wings so to speak and encouraged her, helped her with the ASL , etc . Young 17 year old girl at the time of filming …
Wow, that clip was so moving. I have to see this movie.
it brings me to tears pls watch it
please do it’s wonderful
I'm so happy she's getting recognized! I remember seeing her on Doctor Who when she was little. She's so awesome!
I just finished watching this movie. A MASTERPIECE!
Her performance was so believable, when she started singing to her family it just felt so genuine and real.
I hope to see lots more from this talented young woman.
What an incredible person. She’s so real. You can just tell. And she’s an amazing talent. Her singing is so fantastic, I can’t believe she didn’t grow up in musical theater. The movie is a home run. Stupendous.
I remember when she was just a kid in an episode of Doctor Who. She sung in that episode as well (and she did a great job)!
First of all I LOVE CODA, the entir cast was PERFECT Her cover of "Both Sides Now' leaves me bawling like a baby every time! Secondly Jimmy Fallon has a heart of gold. A simple gift mad Emilia Jones SO HAPPY!! I bet she'll treasure it forever
Jimmy's the best!
For me its Joni's the Circle Game. She was at the Newport Festival this Sunday!
This was great. And every Doctor Who mega-nerd remembers her lovely voice from "The Rings of Akhaten". So happy to see her success!
Jimmy almost cried after the clip at the end there. Well... me too ❤️
I've actually known about her for quite some time and wasn't sure if she'd ever get her big break, but then when season 1 of Locke & Key premiered back in 2020, I immediately predicted that she'd be an A-list star/the next big thing. So glad to she that that prediction is coming true
I love the show and despite its faults, Emilia is amazing. I can't wait for season 3 and other projects that she's working. And because she sang so good in CODA, I think she'd be perfect for a musical movie
@Noa Angela A.L. Garcia ok LOL i I
@@15Candles yeah
True. LOCKE & KEY, SHE IS ON A LEAGUE ON HER OWN.
Locke and key is the best!
She’s a diamond in the rough. 👏🏻 ❤️
Emilia is such an angel. What a talent she is!
That clip they showed almost had me balling, it was so touching and heartfelt 😭 Too bad I don't have 🍎📺 - more tears for that 😢 😭
Regardless you have to watch it. I already watched it twice.
Love her in Locke And Key
She's singing in that series too
tears through the whole movie.
What's also wonderful is a CODA in music is a passage that brings a piece to an end. It's a wonderful double meaning title!
Well done Emilia. Congratulations! and congrats to Aled Jones on producing a beautiful talented young lady! I bet you're walking in the air!!!
No chance not to fall in love with her😍😍 She's amazing!!!
Yeah...u r right, everything about her is perfect
I was watching that with my family, in this scene every one became dead silent, completely in sync immersed in the moment. Amazing movie.
this movie was AMAZING so happy that it’s getting the attention it deserves. but also sad that a lot of people didn’t watch it.
I so want to marry this girl right now 🥺
She is LOVELY!
She had to learn how to sign, how to use a fishing boat, and she had to sing beautifully with an American accent. Absolutely unreal how talented she is.
CODA is one of most pleasant memories from miserable 2021 - whoever cast lovely Emilia Jones deserves a special Oscar.
Shes was amazing in dr who as the queen of years and she just seems to be doing it all
I finished locke & keys not too long ago, she did a pretty good job. Excited to see CODA!
SHE'S AMAZING
I loved the movie and Emilia was perfect!
Another young actress going to be a big star
She has a beautiful voice
My favorite show and actor
CODA deserves all the awards!! 🤟😍🥰
I really love her in CODA I cried a lot it was fantastic I love her so much more than you can imagine from Haiti
The clip they showed is my favorite part of this film.
One of the best films that I have seen in ages!!
She’s got her Dad’s confidence!
She’s adorable and deserves every success.
So good in Coda, love her hotness/acting!❤️👍👩🏽🤪🫶🏻❣️🦦😉
My God this film really amazing...i cried a lot upon watching this its so authentic,it remind me the value of Family...
She just did an astonishing performance in CODA 👏🏻
I laughed, I cried, 2 thumbs up.
.... and you give us the best scene of the movie... tears again. 🥲
CODA was an excellent movie...best picture worthy for sure.
oh my god I'm sooo proud of her I've only known her after watching CODA (which is the best movie right now).. and now she's everywhere!!! GOOD FOR YOU EMILIA 🤟🤟🤟
The clip they showed made me sob harder than any other film this year. Andrew Garfield singing "Why" in Tick Tick Boom was right up there too. Both he and Troy Kotser deserve Oscars. Emilia was fantastic as well. Agree with another comment that said both she and Alana Haim should've been nominated.
Literally just finished watching Coda and oh goodness such a beautiful movie. Loved it! All the accolades are well deserved!
WOW just WOW Emilia Jones loved every part of the movie
Can't wait to see more of Emilia! Love her love her love her. Please, Emilia, record an album covering a classic singer songwriter songs from the 70s. PLease please please. Can't wait to hear you sing more and more.
Emilia is very beautiful
Yes I Jah
Is there anybody else here who could't take their eyes off Emilia Jones the entire movie?
She's so lovely and kind
Adorable ♥️
I'm in love with this woman
Her British accent sounds so newwww 😃
She so Lovely ❤️
Emilia Jones IS AN AMAZING ACTRESS I love her so much and coda is a great touching story. Glad the movie made it 😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ugh that scene with Tony honestly was so touching and moving. I was holding back tears so hard! 😩 this movie was just extraordinary and makes you feel just about every emotion possible! Well deserved awards!! So happy for them all for their accomplishments! 👏💪👍🫶
Another Emilia to fall in love with and they are both English ...💙💙💙
omg she was the girl from the rings of akhaten in doctor who!! She grew up so beautiful i’m so proud
The little girl who was singing the lullaby ?
@@wikidclownchris a very late reply but yes that was her:)
She’s absolutely lovely
that face of Jimmy few seconds after the clip from the film, before he mentions her name 💙
I feel the love flowing in my soul wow at all
Wow she is talented all over. ASL, singing and american accent. Shes lovley
She's amazing❤
thanks for a great series. can't wait for season three
I choked up so many times during the movie..just beautiful ❤️
I have been following her since 2019 I am a big fan of her. God bless you Emilia
she is very talented
all tears for this movie!
Being from Gloucester CODA did Gloucester proud! As I watched the film and though I'm not deaf I felt like Amelia and the Rossi family signed with a Gloucester accent!
Watched her on Locke & Key, brilliant actress. I seen her on Doctor Who were her character had to sing
I first saw her on Locke & Key, I already knew then she'll become a big 🌟..and her new movie awesome
She's half Welsh. Her father is Aled Jones, a singer and presenter, a former child star, whose from Anglesey, in North Wales. Her mother is a member of a famous circus family. It's no wonder she's so talented. Cyfarchion o Gymru/Greetings from Wales 🏴
yes! he sings walking in the air! 🏴
Alana Haim and her sister reaally so supportive of her ! they gave her stand up applause.
The Will Smith story hits different now…. No pun intended.
Yes this interview was before the Oscars
I thought the same!!! I was more mad at Will Smith after seeing this movie and having their historic moment overshadowed by him.
For real,...I wonder how cool she thinks he is now.
Omg she's so beautiful, and that English accent😍😍 she played an American girl who played herself down but blossomed like a butterfly!! I'm in love!!!
English not British!
@@ouroborostechnologies696 I see alot of people use the terminology (British accent) What's the big deal?
@@ouroborostechnologies696 that's what I thought........
Thank you Jimmy 😁😁😁
She's gorgeous
So
she is a wonderful singer and an excellent actor
