We sailed the Silver Nova on the maiden voyage in August from Venice. It was an amazing ship. I specifically enjoyed the salt lab cooking class. All the restaurants were outstanding. Excellent service on board. our cabin, even at the lower category, was amazing. I highly recommend the ship.

Where SilverSea misses out is with the laundry. They offer self service launderettes but who really wants to do their own laundry on vacation ??? Regent Cruises offers complimentary laundry service as well as free shore excursions.
We boarded the ship in Barcelona port last October. The cruise was amazing, the ship was fantastic, the service was excellent..the staff too. I have no words to describe this experience I had on Silver Nova!! So many memories!!!

We travel on a 17 day cruise September 2023 Lisbon to Lisbon on the Nova and there are some very unusual features on this Silversea ship.I’ve been cruising since the 50s and have the following comments.There are many dinning options but the menu choice is similar in each restaurant and is not varied much .Silver-note is the usual Silversea tapas more like canopies than a meal .I found the food not up to the usual Silversea standard I’ve experienced for many years with them .
Since the takeover by Royal Caribbean this is my first experience and noticed a big difference in the dining experience and general standard of service.
The ship is a big departure from their other ships in the fleet but personally found it a bit large for the amount of passengers and a lot of empty spaces with repeated uninspiring decor throughout .Somehow I found it too much of a departure from the previous privately owned Italian company and certainly could feel and notice the influence of RCCI in the Silver Nova.Personally disappointing.

The ship looks really beautiful thanks for the great footage and narrating . I haven’t been on many cruises but will be travelling on the silver dawn in January 24 from fort laudadale ending in Barbados for 10 nights .

How would this cruise line compare to a Viking? I like not having to dress up a ton like on Viking, but it sounds like I may have to dress up more for dinners on here? I love the layout of the ship, and the excursions I looked up seem interesting.
This particular ship for Silversea would be most like a Viking cruise with more relaxed dress. Silver Nova is a more of a casual resort feel. Happy cruising!

Not certain why the 55,000 ton and 750 pax design..
Always preferred to 200-300 pax if going luxury..
Seems they do 2 shows as theatre only holds 300 plus.
Plus at 50,000 tons limits some fun ports

Just learned that on formal nights SilverSea require men to wear either a jacket and tie or a black tie (tuxedo for Americans). I own neither, and why would I want to take up space and weight in my luggage taking such things on holiday? It's nuts, the sooner this nonsense stops on cruises the better. Smart casual is just fine, and I own multiple instances of that.

im sailing on the silver nova in may -- alaska to vancouver -- im so excited....any of the excursions that you would recommend -- paid or free?
I have no idea what Silversea is offering for excursions in Alaska. Alaska is a favorite destination of mine, though, and I like stuff like kayaking or bike tours. I also would try something that includes whale watching and a salmon bake. Have a great time and thanks for watching!
It's rather trendy and following the same kind of color palette as Celebrity's Edge and NCL's Prima. I don't like these muted grays and beiges and such. I just don't find enough contrast and color or enough vibrant colors in it to pop for the night ambiances that some more memorable ships have. Now, some areas have some more color than other areas and some of the materials look of a high quality, but there's too much emphasis on light colors in current design and a contemporary design doesn't have to mean muted everything. Some of the ship spaces are nice enough, I do like Dolce Vita, but I'll be happy when this grey/beige muted design trend is over. Don't get me wrong, I don't like garish over-the-top glitz. But this is formulaic design now, light and open and that doesn't equal cozy and charming or romantic feeling IMO.

Why do they always buy short backed chairs and sofas on ships. One can hardly relax when one cannot put one’s head back against higher backed seating.
I agree. I'm 6-foot-4 and always trying to cobble together some kind of pillow arrangement to get more comfy.
Thank you fir the extended tour. Will be on the Tokyo- Singapore criuse in October 2024, with my son and his lovely wife, looking forward to it. This will be #5 Cruise with Silversea, love it.
To give an illusion of more space as the ceilings tend to be fairly low on most ships. There are a few exceptions on ships and even on this one but mostly, they're short backed.

I think the ship is beautiful….it may not be for everyone……but it’s more classy than most…and not overdone~
