You could also see it as since the figures are standing and causing the head to roll away from themselves that none of them want to be the one to claim the head. Claiming the head means claiming the responsibility of scaring away the crows but no one wants take it on themselves to solve the issue. Some artists even allow their awareness of this phenomenon to alter or shape the artwork that they create.

I’m a physics student. For me it’s not a miracle but a smart example of using springs and gravity. I think the key is the table’s weight and the springs in the straw men. The maximum angle that the table is allowed to tilt is controlled by the spring in each straw man. And the maximum angle makes sure that the ball won’t fall out. That is why when the woman threw the ball back too hard the ball fell out, because her strength was too much to keep the ball’s motion in the proper scale, then it broke the system of its proper kinetic energy and potential energy. Anyways, this is a very smart artwork using physics.

imo it doesn’t need to take loads of work to be art, but the meaning is important
I’m a physics student. For me it’s not a miracle but a smart example of using springs and gravity. I think the key is the table’s weight and the springs in the straw men. The maximum angle that the table is allowed to tilt is controlled by the spring in each straw man. And the maximum angle makes sure that the ball won’t fall out. That is why when the woman threw the ball back too hard the ball fell out, because her strength was too much to keep the ball’s motion in the proper scale, then it broke the system of its proper kinetic energy and potential energy. Anyways, this is a very smart artwork using physics.
