Wondered what you have been up to? Glad to see you have come to your senses and got that work crap out of the way and grabbed a few Mates to head off and adventure. The CZcams world is always better when there is fresh Brent Pearson content to watch. Looking forward to this series, now get that editing done. LOL
Epic alright! Unbelievably awesome! I'm really looking forward to watching whatever you post. I might even follow your footsteps as part of my bucket list of doing the Flinders
Really looking forward to this. Enjoyed your first solo trip through there more than any other coverage of the Flinders. Thanks so much Brent. (1st comment though subscribed for a while.)
"Jeeze Brent" you know how to attract my attention. Three's the perfect number I reckon and I'm hoping you didn't have any drama's so looking forward to it and best of luck.
Most excellent videography Brent! The previous series was fantastic, expect that this new trip will be equally entertaining. + Really appreciate your deep dive series into the GoPro settings, clear concise and no Bullshi* A brother and I are heading from Melb to Spain and Portugal in May and hope to capture some epic footage using your settings... Hopefully :) Ride safe and keep the vids coming, best!
Sounds very tempting to do the same, But I’m on the other side of earth in Sweden so it has to be next time around. Enjoy the ride guys and hope to hear more from ya 👍
Yes, a long way from Australia... actually I'm riding closer to your neck of the woods in September.... 6 days in the Highlands of Iceland. That should also be epic.
Hi mate , sounds like a fantastic 2 weeks. I'm very jealous. I'm sure you'll have a great time. I've been watching your vids , thanks for taking the time to make them . I get my new bike in a month and a bit. The count down is on. Regards Chris.
Hi mate , bmw 1250gsa. This is my second one, I had a 2008 model and sold it a few years ago. I've had a lot of bikes, but this one seems to be able to do everything. I've got a road king harley at the moment, I did 2000km in 2 days last Christmas, definitely not a bmw and broke the exhaust bracket on the way home. Like the saying goes " the chrome won't get you home". Very true.
@@MrChicko11111 Ah, the BM is a lovely bike. I had a 1250 GS, but sold it for the Husky because I was doing more and more technical riding that was outside the comfort zone of the GS. On this trip to the Flinders, HD is riding his GSA and he is a beast with that bike, he literally goes anywhere that I can go on the Husky and then some on his GSA. I can't wait to get footage of him riding it up Skytrek, or Mt Gill, or Mt Samuel. Should look very impressive.
Looking forward to seeing this Brent; I've wanted to ride the Flinders for a long time now. Any chance you'll share the GPX files once finished? Cheers.
I travel to the US regularly and get my skydio parts delivered there. If you need things like props etc. I can pick some up for you when I head back there in May.
Interesting timing, I thought about you in the last two days. 500 km in a day? That sounds like a lot to me. Anyway, good luck and enjoy. BRW- I bought a 790 ADV a week ago :)
Hey Dror It's a bit deceiving, we are doing 1500km each way in the car on with the trailer.... So that is 3,000km in 4 days. The other 10 days is for the 2,000km, so quite comfortable riding. So you swapped the 701 for a twin eh? Enjoy. I have a friend who rides a 790 and loves it.
@@brentbat for me 200km/ Day in the terrain you rode in the other video looks a lot. I don't think I ever done more than 80-70 in same conditions. I was going to buy a 690 or a CRF300 but I missed the riding so much that I took this 790 S because the condition and mods. Less sporty than the 1090 S on the twisties but allows comfortable touring at 140 km/h with pillion. after my first off-road trip I finally reach the ground with both feet and in mud and sand it helps. the low center of gravity is a genius engineering.
@@orpaztron The riding in the ƒlinders is largely not all that technical and I've done many of the tracks before, so I know that we will be able to do the distances without too many problems... in fact I think we should plenty of time to just enjoy the surroundings, do some video making etc. Glad you are enjoying the 790.... yes, the lower seat height should be nice compared to the 701 which is pretty tall.
Should be a pile of fun, Brent. And great landscape for the Skydio, you've probably seen Tori's vids with her Skydio doing the Flinders? czcams.com/video/FTwGBIsGWS4/video.html
Hi, how is the lynx fairing treating you, still worth it? I wanted to mainly ask about the handlebar vibrations, did the barkbuster bar end weights remedy it noticeably? I love the bike, but I have issues with wrists, the handlebar buzz in the high engine RPM is killing my hands after some time.
I still love the Lynx fairing. I had the touring screen fitted for this trip and when you slide it up, it really makes a big difference. I never really tried the bike without the bar end weights, so it's hard for me to make a comparison, but I don't find ANY issues with vibration at all. I just did some long days in the saddle (700km, 800km, 500km) on the Flinders trip and I found the bike comfortable and had no issue with vibrations at all.
Thanks Pete, but we have locked in a lot of the logistics for the three of us. I'm also just a bit cautious about riding with people I don't know.. If they don't ride at your level it can have been impacts on the trip.... Happy enough to join up and ride with people for day rides, but big trips take a lot of planning.
Looking forward to the vids, especially Mt Gill and Skytrek

Epic is an understatement! Can’t wait to watch this one and then get back on the trails to discover your new discoveries! 🤞😂🍀🏍🏁
Thanks Roz. Yeah, I'm going to be really doing the Flinders properly this time and doing a few trails that are definitely NOT mainstream.

What dates do I need to book my leave?
How long did it take HD to ride there?😮
3 Days... Syd to Ivanhoe. Ivanhoe to Broken Hill, Broken Hill to Blinman.
