      @@alainpannetier2543 not really. let say scottish referendum had gone bad for scottish people he is not responsible, people are. brexit was also brought in using referendum, so even if he was against it he would be forced to do it. so once again good or bad brexit, he is not responsible for brexit, people are.

    • @alextilson9741

      @@prabhjeetsingharora7738 The responsibility of the prime minister isn't just limited to their own party and policies. By taking part in a democratic system, its their responsibility to serve and represent everyone, even those who didn't vote for the Tories, or voted the way he wanted in the referendum. In other words, the people are responsible, but he is responsible for representing those people.
      That being said, his resignation was the best thing for him to do. Knowing that he wasn't adequate to oversee the country during Brexit was I think the honourable thing to do. Most of the time during a dramatic change in the country, its not unprecedented for the prime minister to fall out of touch with their people (Chamberlin and Churchill for example)
      And hey, at least it was more dignified that Boris being out of touch with the covid pandemic. We should be thankful that at least David Cameron had the sensibility to resign when he did.

      What a load of crap! You can actually thank Blair & co for uncontrolled mass immigration, for leaving us unprepared for the financial crisis, and for embroiling us in an illegal war. Cameron had the thankless task of trying to put us back on the rails again and to be honest he did a fair job. I suppose you blame him for the way people voted in the Referendum as well, and the way the markets and currencies have reacted since then, despite the fact that he supported remain. Democracy is a wonderful thing, but it would be even better if half the electorate wasn't brainless.

      Yes. He's had a hard month. He lost the referendum, which meant he lost his job. He thought he'd have a couple of months to say goodbye to everyone, but now he realises he's out of a job and out of his home on Wednesday. In the interview, he's close to tears, but his stiff upper lip has him struggling to keep it together, and that hum is his "keep-it-together" hum to try to keep his spirits up, so noone sees him cry. I really warm to him here.

      kelly6739 The pound fell to a 31 year low against the dollar after the vote result was revealed, soon it will reach the 1985 low of $1.05, it also fell more than 10% against the euro, and this is just the beginning of the fallout. In time, the mess will grow even bigger.

    • @Romulan2469
      @Romulan2469 Před 8 lety

      kelly6739 Recovering, but not fully recovered from the 31 year low against the dollar. Also the Bank of England is planning an interest rate cut this week, over 7 years after the last interest rate cut following the global banking crisis when the UK was in recession.
