I had a 73 Mach 1 with a 351Cleveland Cobra Jet engine in it, (I think the engine code was a Q if I remember correctly), 4 speed top loader, 9" nodular rear with 31 spline axles, dual point distributor, 780 Holley dual feed single pump carb, aluminum intake manifold, fold down rear seat, flip out gas cap (I added the fold down rear seat and the gas cap) but everything else came stock. I was 2nd owner and I purchased the car in 1975 from the son of the owner of our local Ford dealership, which I actually worked for a few years later as a mechanic. It was that real dark metallic green color with the argent "Mach 1" stripe on both sides, black aluminum louvers on that big back almost flat laying window. Man, I loved that car and it was so fast. I lost it in my divorce. It was the only thing I wanted. I even gave her the house but she wouldn't let me have my Mustang. Us guys ALWAYS get shafted. I even bought the car before I met her but the female judge gave it to her. I did come away with my 68 Cougar GT. It had a 390GT engine in it making almost 425hp. It, too, had the top loader, dual point, 780 Holley and all the other goodies including A/C and so did my Mach 1. Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you. Good luck with it and I hope you get to do everything you want to with it.
    Sincerely, Rich Williams
