(I haven’t seen manga maybe there’s an answer there) at least in this case it just wouldn’t be possible since jotaro is a 17 year old adolescent and he has no chance against a vampire that can just freeze and punch bullet-like (hierophant green’s emeralds) with his bare fists (and also matching his speed), at least for jotaro it just wouldn’t be viable but for DIO it would be, but also you should keep in mind jotaro’s stand is very fast and could just *penetrate* DIO with one punch so even getting close would be very risky (it’s stated sp can punch at light speed so it would be no problem to catch DIO trying to kill jotaro)

Honestly great days is one of my favourite openings, like the happy upbeat song with the depressed sad animation, like the town is blissfully unaware of all the evil lurking, like when killer queen grabs hayato's hat like he has control over his life, and reimi sparking hope in dark times
