+DowserGratt tune your guitar in open g , put capo on 3rd fret , then only play open ,and third fret

+DowserGratt The capo is actually on the 4rth fret. Then just strike the open strings and use your index finger at the 7th fret to play the next note of the riff. ;)
+DowserGratt And like Omar Nava said, your guitar must be tuned to Open G. Do not play the low E string when you strike the open strings though, because when tuned to Open G, the low E string becomes a D and therefore not the root note of your chord and it sounds messy, especially with lots of distortion and other FX. Some players like Keith Richards would just remove the low E string. Or I guess you could tune it all the way up to a G but I'm not sure what such tension might do to your string...
sorry , I meant 4th fret , But sometimes , they play it half step down , It´s like when they played In like the rose with capo 1 ,
