Great video, but Robert sounds and looks wasted here. Then again, he always sounds a little bit like he has marbles in his mouth, in concert. That's probably why I prefer Pete's songs, live.
I've heard this song before and thought it was by someone else. U2 maybe? Is this a cover of someone else's song? 'Cause all references to it seem to point back to BRMC. Maybe it was them that I heard? Did they get popular radio coverage with this song? or is it a cover of someone else that I am remembering?

I saw them 2/07, and Rob mentioned that he'd been sick and was singing against his doctor's recommendation. So that might be part of it, but...you're totally right, he does seem really messed up in this video. At the show I went to, though, they kicked all kinds of ass. He seemed kinda tired, but he was still playing really well and engaging the audience and everything.
You are seeing almost the same lack of energy, POOR sound quality, and overall suckness displayed at the 930 Club in DC January this year. The bass tones drowned out every note of every song. It sounded like they made some slight adjustments about halfway thru the concert but still the sound SUCKED!!! Also, for some unknown reason, they kept randomly lighting off these gd strobe lights right in the audience's faces. It was SO bad you had to look away. Horrible. It was like a bad high school garage band performance. Peter didn't even stay around to say thank you. He was gone after the 2nd to last note....just left. Ridiculous. I took a date and was totally embarrassed. I even had to apologize after the concert. Hey guys, if you are so sick of playing and touring, take a couple years off. Worst concert ever. However, it was the best waste of my hard earned dollars. (At least the The Black Angels will be here in two weeks.)
Well forget The Black Angels, they sucked as well. I guess every f'ing band is sick and tired of playing the same songs they've played a million times already by the time the get to DC.
