If it helps. I also have a basic tracker. I bought an expensive Olive and Archer book thinking I'd do some of those gorgeous, intricate spreads I see everywhere on YT, but nope. What I really wanted to do with it was get more depth out of my reading, so I've been writing long focused reviews in it, instead. Also, I'm very envious of your ability to read in other languages! I'm excited to see what book you end up doing with that.
That’s a great use for it too! Yeah, I find that if my spreads are too complicated or if I have too many I get overwhelmed and don’t want to use any of them, so I keep it simple. I hope that writing the reviews helps you get the depth you’re looking for in your reading :)
One German book that I keep recommending, and that everybody keeps not picking up, is Schlafes Bruder by Robert Schneider. It's the story of a boy/young man who grows up in a remote and backwards Alpine village in the early 19th century, who can hear the music of the universe in all things and eventually learns to channel it into organ music. There's obviously a lot of mysticism in the book, but no religious sentiment (outside of the characters and the setting, that is; religion and piety of course play a big part in their lives).
Danke Eva! I’ll definitely look into it :)
Try read classic nation of literature Portuguese Brazil...you go to love it!
I’ll definitely check some Brazilian books out! Thanks for the recommendation 😊
