This has been a great Father's Day. I am 68 and grew up with the greatest era of Hollywood Westerns. Thanks to all the Father and Son actors of my favorite FLICKS.
Thanks, Nelson. Those were good days...that we keep reliving!
Rob: How could anyone take exception with this video? It was such a good reflection on these individuals lives and their contributions.
Thanks, Ken.
@@AWordonWesterns Rob: I appreciate that you take the time to read and respond to my comments. It differentiates you from other You Tubers. You get 5 stars in my book.

Great show. As a baby boomer I loved watching cowboy shows and still do. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Steven. Will do!
I really enjoyed this one. Rob's love for westerns genuinely come through. Well done. Thanx👍
Very well done! Well worth the Time to watch this piece. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super interesting interviews.
Read that Joel McCrea was a devoted family man. Happy Father's Day to you and all dad's
Yes, Joel definitely was. I interviewed his grandson, Wyatt, about him.
What a great production, to see the tributes of the sons and daughters to their fathers.many great memories of these many talented people.
I loved this! So many great actors and fathers.
R.I.P. Norman S. Powell if I am reading this correctly. His credits are remarkable!
Norman S. Powell worked on several TV Classics that have never left the air like "The Rifleman", "Wanted: Dead or Alive" and "The Big Valley". His connection to these legendary series gave his production of the later "Gunsmoke" movies an incredibly genuine authenticity that has added them to the pantheon of Western TV Classics.
Happy Trails Norman S. Powell!
Thank you, David. It certainly was a shock to learn about Norman. He left his mark on many fine productions.
Great collection of stories!
Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely ,,, "Bar-None",,,, The Best Series On CZcams,,, Rob Words,,, Words on Westerns... "Simply The Very Best",,,,

Great way to start off a Fathers Day, very enjoyable! Thanks Rob and Happy Fathers Day.
A great collection of clips! Happy Father’s Day!
Thank you! You too, Matt.
Rob, another great production! Could have listened to a lot more. Highlights what we say and how we say it to our children is so important. And after were gone, its the memories that last. Thank you for your labor of love and all the hours of editing...Larry
Thank you, Larry. Much appreciated!
@@AWordonWesterns Rob, no thanks needed. Not too many people know how many hours you put into each production. Always quality work. Great interviews. And best of all are the good memories revisited.
Thanks for this Rob. Not only do I get to watch & listen but to the wonderful people who have written books about our western heroes, stuntmen, directors & producers, I can now read about them over & over. Happy Fathers Day to you!
Now i understand the great love my parents had for the Western Genre and these both great actors and characters larger than life. Thank you for this tribute.
thanks, Anne

As a dad I say thank you!
Thank you so much for that wonderful production - I sooo enjoyed it. Now at 83 years of age, I love to travel back along the blessed path of life the Lord has given me , and all those great iconic characters of the Silver Screen have been part of it. God Bless them all x
Thanks, Val
Rob this was a delightful experience to hear from all the children of the Western stars who were most of them stars themselves. Hard pressed to pick any favorite, as I recognized almost every one of them. Happy Father's Day Rob and all the fans of AWOWs!
I feel happy when i see you and your program my dear
Mr. Rob
I'm gonna try and keep you smiling, then, MS. More to come!
Great production Rob. I never miss any of them. Always interesting behind the scenes stuff that any movie fan would enjoy. I shared this one with a friend who is commemorating his father this Father’s Day, who also could have passed for Robert Mitchum’s twin! Keep them coming!
Thanks, Joe.
One of the best shows you put on.
Awesome videos Mr. Word. I really appreciate the work you put into them.
My Dad introduced me to westerns and that made a huge impact. My grandfather is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame, but died just before I was born, so western movies and tv were most of my experience of what that meant.
Great memories.
Melinda Carey’s final words are what we need most now-after a year of fear we need *hospitality.*
Happy Dad’s Day.
Thanks, Rose, for you kind comments. Please tell us a little about your grandfather.
Wonderful! Happy Father's Day to all of the other Dads out there! Thank you for sharing this today!
Loved this Rob. You have out done yourself with this wonderful vignette for fathers day. Bravo!
That you for putting this together. I remember most of the original shows, but there were a few new ones. I got to see a few stars growing up because of my dad. He played for the Boston Red Sox and the Cubs. I remember him saying that he arrived late to the resteraunt meal, because he stopped at the bar to have a drink with John Wayne.
@@robertsprouse9282 I was born when my dad returned to the minors. He coached the Portland Beavers. He retired from baseball soon after I was born and moved us to So. Ca. I went to school in West Hollywood and met a lot of stars because of him.
@@robertsprouse9282 The photo is a few years old, but I do look younger than my age. The photo was for a film pilot I was in called Tenet Noctis, you can find it on YT. czcams.com/video/VQsGtFAen6E/video.html
Simply a great episode. I remember all of these stories from the episodes they originated in, but strung together in this presentation they are even more powerful. The choice of clips and editing simply outstanding.
Thanks, Jim
blue tang in the background. one of the bluest things on earth. and wonderful show Rob. my father was a star in my world too.
That's great, Jt. Thanks.

Thanks a lot, Bob. Your kind words are much appreciated!
Thanks Rob. Happy Father's day to you.
Thanks, M
My husband absolutely loved the Lone Ranger. When he turned 50 ee had a surprised 50th Birthday party for him with the Lone Ranger theme & everyone attending dressed in western attire good time. He passed when he was 2018& still was watching the Lone Ranger at lease 3 times a day.
Nicely edited Papa Word, and a most happy Father's Day to you as well!

A fabulous tribute Rob....thank you.
Many thanks, Doug.
Rob, this is a simply marvelous video. This likely took quite a while to put together and I thank you for that. Have a very Happy Father’s Day, Rob; and take care, amigo.
Dick Powell died in 1960.
That's what I had in my notes but I must have mistyped. Unfortunately, Dick's son Norman Powell just died Wednesday and I was up late last night adding that info to his super making sure I had THAT date right. Sorry about the error.
Very nice video love to see all the old guys and how they did in movie good job Rob.
Darby Hinton, was one of my Kid Heroes growing up watching Daniel Boone. Never thought I'd ever be acting with him in a movie in 2019, and I am still awed by that too.
Thanks Rob!
Enjoyed seeing these segments tied together in a common theme. Thank you, Rob. And happy Fathers Day.
Thanks, John. Hope it's been a good day for everyone.

Happy Father's Day Mr Word. This is a great one. I back stepped 15sec so many times for details that I may have watched it 3-4 times in one go. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate that, Gerard. Maybe I'll run it at a slower speed next time.
@@AWordonWesterns : No your production was fine. I just wanted to make sure I recognized each of the dads, their children, their work, their position in the industry and the dates given. My recall isn't what it used to be. I do the same back steps with Jerry Skinner videos. You both pack awesome facts and details in your presentations. I would enjoy seeing you and your son do a sit down conversation. What with your background in the industry I'll bet he would have stories to tell of the personalities he grew up around.
Great program.
Sometimes we forget actors and celebrities are real people your series not only highlights the Genre but the people who populate it. Great job Rob.
Thanks, rich.
I always thought of Bob Mitchum as my uncle (my uncle was a dead ringer of him). Bob was always on top for me!
Mighty great tribute to the fathers.
Thanks, Bill.
This was a great idea Robb. Great show. Thank you.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Thank you.
You're very welcome, Joe. Glad you enjoyed it.
Roy Rogers was the best celebrity father. All the other fathers were great but IMHO Roy was the best.
Thanks again Rob for all that you do for my generation in highlighting and memorializing all of the special creators and production people from our childhoods but also for any of the younger folks who have come behind us who may find it special also. And Happy Father’s Day to you.

Great Father's Day special Rob!
Thanks, Eric.
Dawn Moore nailed it with her talk about what happened to America in the 70's. I saw it in the late 60's before being drafted. :'( Sad and shameful fact that it is.
Funny anecdote about Richard Farnsworth. A lot of my cowboy trail riding friends say I could be his double LOL! 😲🤣🤣
Rob thanks for a very nice Father’s Day gift
Thank you Rob...Happy Father's Day
Thank you, Jack. You too, if appropriate.
