I believe you should have put the rear of the front plate over top of the front edge of the rear plate. If you were to hit something with the front edge of the rear plate, it's possible the bolts could be sheared off or other damage to the rear plate could occur. It would also make taking the front plate off for an oil change easier.
On my 4x4 there is a shield that comes from the factory for the electronic front diff. Same as in the video. If you install it that way it interferes. Could remove it but then the connector is exposed to the elements. For 2wd I think it would work as you would like to install
Good stuff, thanks!
With the plastic oil pan on the F150s even if you just do light off roading I think you have to get skid plates in my opinion. Take that for what it’s worth. I bumped and I do mean bumped the oil pan on a log and it flexed enough to cause it to seep oil.
Step one... Get rid of air dam then proceed with this video.
do you think the install of these skid plates woold hinder adding a FRONT 2 " receiver hitch like from draw-tite? It attaches to the frame. I have yet to see someone install BOTH the skid plates and a hitch- what do you think?
Im not sure, but this skid plate covers the air dam and front frame section. You would have to eye ball it and see if it will work.
@@Oxman_Garage Got it Thanks
Does this also cover the transmission filter area as well?
No, it doesn't. They do sell that though
How did this affect gas mileage?
No effect
