Pastor K... I agree that This is so new our traditional and cultural structure of family or marriage but we need to understand that the times are changing. But I pray that we as Women unlearn what we have been taught and relearn that we are the only ones that can give ourselves all the validation, financial security and empowerment we so desire. It frees us from being controlled, debased and oppressed in our relationships.
Pastor K said something that made me ponder. Some women will literally tell their men "I love you with all of my heart" and will also be unwilling to assist their men financially. Very very weird mentality.
Something is wrong with such marriage. If both are on the same page the woman will support her man. That’s why couples need to discuss well before marriage. If a woman believes she can never support the home financially then let her marry a man with same mindset…..simple
In marriage, both the husband and the wife have a responsibility. As a wife, you are expected to take care of the family, yourself and including your relatives. Women tend to do most of the heavy lifting, raising children, house chores, looking out for everyone, taking care of her husband and working as well. A lot of men only focus on their jobs and nothing else. If it wasn’t the responsibility of the husband to provide for the family then responsibilities should be shared to lift some burden off the women. No wonder most women look old and weary before their age, because they are trying to meet up with a lot of things in the family. Women should work but not so that she will provide for her family but to help out in times of need. Men should help out with chores in the home as well. Balanced!
In the Bible, the virtuous woman had helps.
If both of them are earning and have planned their family, they would make provision on how the house chores can be sorted. Even if they live in countries where it is difficult to hire helps.
Again the value of marrying with partnership in mind not oga-madam situation.
Women are dying early cos many of us want to win the non existent super woman award. No communication skills and marrying men who are not submitted to Christ yet we think we can survive submitting to them.
New wine cannot enter old skin and vice versa. We can't apply Christian principles on the foundation of tradition.
@jarielojomah8311, There are many men who help out at home with chores and I know many who are not domesticated yet ensure their wives have nannies to help out .
The problem is that some women will choose with their emotions and end up complaining.
Women should marry men whose values align with theirs because we are given the right to choose.
Many women have amazing men and you will never hear them complain

She has not said anything wrong, she is just saying women take on alot and it's still same pst K that once preached that women are naturally not meant to work as hard as male counterparts... Even in his teachings, pastor Mildred's money was always used to help not as role of provider. The essence is just really to depend on God as our source¬ put all your financial needs on one person.

Good day Sir, this has been an enlightening session. So if Men are not supposed to take care of the family, as it's not a biblical construct, it also means that it's not biblical for a woman to submit her earnings to her husband as part of her submission to him.

Great teaching…Please that scripture that said a man who doesn’t provide for his own household is worse than an infidel, is that not part of the scripture?
That's 1 Timothy 5 vs 8, but the bible never mentioned a man, plus that chapter wasn't even talking about marriage but widows, so do well to read from verse 1 so you understand better.
And don't think am taking sides bcz am also a lady, and I know the bible didn't say if a man doesn't provide but if any.

Until date he hasn't a job, he still stays in a room in his father's house. Exactly, no restaurant, even. I wasn't drinking alcohol at the time, so I wouldn't sit at bars or snacks or nightclubs because I told him that's not a life. In all this, it was his friends who would be buying the drinks, and I would ask him when can you take care of your bills, and sometimes I will give him money to go out. I was ready to stay very low and grow up with my partner, so how was I?
From what i have observed ... alot of women use money as a point of reference for submission to their husbands. So most of the richer women don't "respect" their husbands. It would be helpful if can you can tech on that too. Thanks
Money is often the 'headship" men offer, so when they see a woman who is not impressed with their money,they assume she is disrespectful.
Many men would forgive rudeness in a broke woman but would be exquisitely sensitive to any atom in a rich lady
It’s a male factor more than a female factor. Men see themselves as providers and women as nurturers. So the moment he is unable to provide he feels less of himself and sensitive to everything. The moment both see each other as partners there will be better understanding and coexistence
How do I do now? I got with this guy who had nothing, and because I wasn't the kind who looked for a man for money, I accepted, but he wouldn't change. I knew I would change him, push him to be responsible, but I couldn't. Pastoral its too long for me to explain... it's been 10 years. I decided to separate from him after 2 kids because I thought I could manage, I accepted, and I should bear it. Seriously, I couldn't take it anymore. His family and him keep saying I haven't been patient enough, and I ask them for 10 years, and it's not like in the next 2 or 3 years he will do anything. Do you think it's not better to look for the money men instead?

Gen3:16b says the desire of the woman shall be upon her husband and he shall rule over her, the man is the main provider in the home, the woman is to assist even if bought struggle to make money

YOU must be sincere with yourself.
Finances in marriage just work hard but genuinely depend on God
And lastly as I always say give birth to children you can comfortably train
Like me I have one boy child now
I and my wife we are watching our finances
If it improves much more we might add extra one
But that should be it 2 kids is enough for me
I love enjoying life
Training too many kids might not be fun
It's stressing both mentally and financially
So these are my take

The pastor is right the Bible does not say man to provide it's clear a believer other version say anyone pls read that scripture well and in different versions for better understanding 1Tmothy 5:8
God said in Gen3:16 that the desire of the woman will be upon her husband,I disagree with him that the bible did not say the man should provide for the family,if women are giving birth to children what then is the duty of the man, women are helpers not supposed to take the main responsibility of the family if the man is still alife
