  • It is truly a myth that you cannot remove dents from older cars because the paint is too delicate or it may crack. This is not true and it really depends more on the techniques of the technician trying to fix the dent. At Dent Experts I teach a new form of PDR which enables technicians adopt a new strategy for dent repair on any car regardless of age. For the customer who owns a classic car the most important element is to have original factory paint as this is the best finish to work with since it was first and the original finish is truly embedded into the grain of the metal and substrate. If you have damage that can be repaired with the PDR method, the technician must have the skills where they don't pimple up the dent and raise the dent clean. I developed my own strategy for this type of repair and that is all in my Pdr course call DentExpertTraining. I teach a method of Pdr called Wide Directional Pushing and Slapping and I found this is best way to move metal on older delicate cars. Join me in launching your new career in PDR and start today, the market is hotter than ever because there's always going to be dents in cars to fix, only now the older car market is wide open.

Thanks for sharing your expertise. You have done a magnificent service for the Owner of this car and the results you have accomplished are superb! What a gorgeous 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, too--it would be great to see it whenever it is all "detailed."

PDR is great. The 2nd week I had my new truck, I accidentally swung the front fender into a railing while backing out of a parking space. No broken paint or trim, within 2 hrs and $400 later in my driveway, it was fixed. The whole body shop and insurance estimate experience is a huge pain!

Thanks James really appreciate that and I feel great finally getting this info out there. The myths of what to do or not do in this skill trade is staggering and can confuse and stifle the most eager technicians trying to figure it out. My career is slowly coming to a close and I only fix dents about 3 days a week and probably won’t teach in person until much later in life, if I’m so lucky. I am pouring every bit of my knowledge into this Pdr course and what’s cool is I can embed so many great secrets that can be intertwined throughout each video tutorial. It’s not easy to work with Final Cut Pro for hours and hours, but I’m way faster than I used to me. So far students have been very happy with my trade school content and I just hope to get it all in there to be complete. Thanks again be well and push on!

Oh that’s great glad to know it helped. It’s a relatively unexplored area of Pdr because the myth of paint cracking is so prevalent. Thanks!
