Did the brackets stay in place just with that green tape?
Yes, it kept the bracket in place while you place the screw into the bracket.
how is the quality on these... some people said its not as good as the one you buy at weathertech? could you please help me decide.. thanks
OEM parts are better than aftermarket. Especially when it comes to proper fitment. Also Weathertech will charge you an arm and a leg.
I see this is a year later but I can offer insight today. I bought the WeatherTech for my 2007 Honda CRV EX-L. It was a total nightmare. I could not even get one side one side installed. (WeatherTech only comes with two brackets.) The end of the screws were a smidge over 2 inches from the bracket. NO WAY to install. WeatherTech's great advice was to press harder. Myself, my neighbor and his 18 year old son could not muscle it anywhere near the bracket to even attempt to start a nut. I returned it and bought the OEM Sunroof Deflector from Honda. I've had ten total spine surgeries and I'm disabled but I was able to get everything done BUT, the two side screws were a bear. I had to call my brother over to help me and eventually we got it on. I think the side screws were a hair to short but as I said, we got it. It fits great, functions well and I don't regret the purchase. Buy the OEM Honda and save hours of frustration in the long run.
