RZR Pro R - New 4 Cylinder SXS! On 35” Tires

  • We conquer “The Maze” trail at Sand Hollow, Utah. We threw on a set of 35 inch Maxxis Roxxzillas - one of, if not the most impressive tires we’ve ever ran.
    We really got a feel for the clutching and gearing. It handles the larger tires with no hesitation.
    This pro R is stock - minus the tires and aftermarket springs. We also removed the front sway bar.

    Spent 2 weeks at KOH being crew for a 4400 team. They had a new Pro R launch edition that we used as a pre-runner. Absolutely the most amazing vehicle. It was on 35s as well. We did the 84 mile desert loop and I was blowing the doors off all of the other cars in practice. Easily hit, and held, 86mph across the whoops and chop of the trails. Didn't spend much time in the rocks, only enough to know that the stock rock rails are junk. If I had the money, I'd have one, no questions asked.

    Great video guys. Seems like a great do it all machine. Also seems if that’s your bag just doing rocks the krx is probably the best money spent. If I was just doing just dunes I’d probably still go x3 cause you can have a faster car that’s setup as well or better for probably ten grand less with just a tune and shocks resprung. But for someone who wants to be able to do it all, man it would be nice to just have a set of 35 Zillas you can throw on and then swap right to paddles and go rip and seems like the pro r is just that.

    It would be so easy for polaris to integrate a manual override so you could select whatever number you wanted. They already have the GUI (graphical user interface), they already have the tech integrated into the machine, it is literally just about them adding a selector or input to the GUI. Maybe they don't add that feature because they expect the free market to figure that out.

    I'm like you guys I'm more of a rock crawler,between this machine and the KRX which one would you choose trying to ignore the money difference which is hard to do and just basing it on cabin comfort and performance on 35s.

    • @OffCamberInd
      @OffCamberInd  Před 2 lety +1

      If you like going fast now and then, you have your answer. Crawling.. KRX is hard to beat, but the Pro R is really, really good also. The trailing arms will get hung up more than the KRX, at least in stock form. But we actually didn’t have any issues with that on this trail
      Money aside- I’m going Pro R. -Royce

      @VegasRobzilla Před 2 lety

      If money is no issue i vote PRO R too. The KRX is great, but of you want an all around machine that do everything this is it. If you don’t dune KRX is the best choice for the money. Hell, buy 2 so your cheap ass friends can come too.

  • @onjacks1
    @onjacks1 Před 2 lety +1

    Will the Pro R need a transmission gear reduction with the 35’s? We ride Moab and SH also so I would appreciate any feedback. I have 35s on a KRX and it’s one of the bast crawlers I have seen. I’m considering the Pro R but don’t want to have to spend more on a trans reduction on an already expensive machine. Thanks

    • @OffCamberInd
      @OffCamberInd  Před 2 lety

      The Pro R is geared down already and runs 35s great with no modification. Hard to beat the KRX for crawling, but the extra length and travel of the Pro R will be an advantage. Only disadvantage will be the long and drooping trailing arm
