It's disturbing how difficult Apple makes it to transfer messages and whatnot between an iPhone and an Android phone. Just another way that they want to lock their customers in. Google makes the process easy yet Apple only allows you to use "move to iOS" once. After a device has been set up though you can't switch back and forth without needing to perform factory restore.

So how do I achieve this if my android 5 phone will not update to the latest android and I therefore can’t get Move to iOS to go on my Galaxy Note 3? Does everything need to be necessarily backed up on the android phone like photos and videos or WhatsApp chats. As in does this transfer a back up from.android to ios or is it literally a photocopy of everything on the android phone being broyght over to the iphone?

When you transfered from android to iphone did the android phone still keep all data and stuff? Or did it lose all of it? Does it remove everything from android? Thanks for any info
@@xDONxBx The Android retained the data. Once I was sure the iPhone worked properly I did a factory reset on the Android to erase all my personal data. I had Verizon swap the SIM card for me at no charge, so I can now use the iPhone for calling.

Great video, only the option 'Move Data from Android' is not listed on my 'Apps & Data' screen. Could this be related to the fact that it is a company phone (managed by admin who might have disabled this function)?

I followed all your steps and that of another blogger correctly but my iPhone is stuck on "Waiting for SM-G965F" and it's not showing transfer done.

Happened to me several times. I opened the overview off all my running apps ( the ||| icon bottom left on Samsung galaxy) and closed all windows. Then it worked. Although I decided to go to bed after 3 hours of trying to set my phone up, so i unplugged them and the transfer was incomplete.
Here I am again, with both phones pluggedin next to my bed, in case it takes over an hour again.

If you got a US iPhone it won't have a sim slot, I just got mine from t mobile and it doesn't have one, it has an esim

No, it doesn't transform it in the same order. But YES there is a way to transform it in order it's just complicated to write

Just bought the 15 pro max.....fkn sucks compared to my Pixel. The fact that you have to reset it to access the transfer if you skipped it is insane

Why do you have to wipe the iPhone? It's brand new and should come ready to accept the data from the android.

you can just transfer the file if you connect your current phone via usb to a pc or sum. You can select the option data transfer on your phone. And you can move the custom ringtone file to your pc and later move that to your new phone. Or in the transfer app use the option "add additional files".
Do you have to go to your service provider to do this for (example T mobile) would i have to go to T-Mobile to transfer everything or can i do it completely free like this
It’s free just put the set up the mobile service after setting it up on home wifi
