  • I love dowel joinery because it's easy and strong, but I didn't love my dowel jig, so I decided to make my own! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out and I can't wait to use in on a project!

The jig you based off of is the jig I do have. I have only used it on one project. I had one are where things just did not line up. There was no issue with the jig, it was my error of how I lined up my boards. I drilled the board facing the wrong way. That is one thing you have to do is be mindful of your board orientation. I fixed by switching to pocket holes. It was my first project with the jig, and I learned from my mistakes. Yes the jig is plastic and if does wear out or break, I now have a source to know how to make a replacement jig. Thank you for the idea and video. Your videos and how you approach and overcome are AWESOME!. It is people like you that inspires me. Please continue to make awesome videos! Mike from Tucson, AZ
