    I own the J2 and also a Vitamix 5200 classic blender. I’m sure this will be covered in John’s upcoming C2/Vitamix video, but a couple of things to remember: the Vitamix is US made and has been in business for nearly 90 years; Vitamix has many different sized containers with some for specific uses making it a bit more flexible IMO; and the tamper is indispensable when making things like ice cream and nut butters.
    The classic series is frequently on sale for ~$250, so a J2 + Vitamix can be had for about the same cost as the C2. Obviously if you don’t have the counter space, or simply want an all-in-one solution, the C2 makes a lot of sense and appears to be a great product.

      I just got the j2in July. I think I would prefer to have a vitamix to go with it if I buy another blender because of vitamix 's reputation. Right now I have several blenders for smoothies so I haven't been able to justify a vitamix yet. I have a Montel Williams, ninja and nutribullet and I use my nutribullets the most. Easy cleanup with nutribullet no Brainerd in how to use it. Lol

  • @herownfrequency
    @herownfrequency Před 7 měsíci +1

    Thank you very much for this super comprehensive video, covering almost all of the details I was so urgently searching for, that I have also thus far been unable to get from Nama directly, much of which is not listed on their website (but ought to be).
    The only three specs I still need that you did not list are the following:
    1. What is the height of the C2 base/motor only?
    2. What is the height of the J2 base/motor only?
    3. What is the height of the C2 with the blender on top of it?
    Also, the following information would be extremely helpful:
    a. What is the decibel reading for the C2 with the blender on top? (This will surely vary depending upon what is being blended however.)
    b. Does the Nama C2 handle frozen bananas any BETTER than the Vitamix 5200 Pro? (Frozen bananas are often problematic for the 5200.)
    c. Is the Nama C2 more quiet than the Vitamix 5200? (Or does it too sound like a military aircraft taking off?)
    d. I have noticed that in all of the videos and posts I have seen from various users, the Nama C2 seems to make overly smooth and excessively thin smoothies. Is there a way to make smoothies thicker and less processed with the Nama C2? The smoothies I have seen remind me of what the Blendtec turns out, which is one of the many reasons I do not own one (the Blendtec is just excessive; too much power is very destructive to the fruits and vegetables, doing too much of the work for the body). I often prefer to use a spoon to eat my smoothies, and the Vitamix 5200 makes them nice and thick.
    e. How portable is the Nama C2? Have you found a travel case (or cases) that work for frequently transporting/moving all of the parts?
    f. Also, have you found an appropriate travel case/tote that can accommodate the smaller J2 and all of its parts?
    That is all I can think of for now.
    Thank you again. 🙏🏻

      The bottom of the Nama C2 says 200 watts, so I thought the blender motor was also 200 watts. I have confirmed with the CEO of Nama that the blender is 1000 watts. That being said, it does not draw near that, IMO, and is quite efficient.

    Hello John. Have you compared the Kuvings CB1000 vs Dynapro’s vacuum blender? Which one is better in terms of the vacuum power and blending results. Thank you

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Před 8 měsíci

      I have not compared these two head-to-head. I have it on my "to do" list. Each model has their own pros and cons. I prefer the CB1000 since it is much easier to use and fully automatic, as the dynapro is manual, and the vacuum takes longer. I would say the tribest probably pulls a stronger vacuum, and they both blend about as well. That being said the CB1000 carafe is much smaller, so if you want to "Vacuum Juice" as I show, the Dynapro would be recommended. The CB1000 is better for small servings, while the dynapro is better for larger volumes.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Před 8 měsíci

      @@eightofhearts i grind flax seeds dry in the CB1000 all the time. If you dont add anything else, they tend to stick to the sides due to the oil content of the flax. So these days I usually add sprouted oatmeal to flax and then grind, so they dont stick to the sides and turn into a nice "flour". I blend 16 ounces of tomatoes and greens from my garden with other herbs/spices/nuts/seeds to make a blended salad all the time in the CB1000.

      Does it spiralize, ribbons, dices, french fry cut? I heard it mixes, chops, slices and shreds only. Someone needs to make a better food processor that does it all and change the industry just like Nama has changed the juicing game.

    • @yamamancha
      @yamamancha Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@SomeOne-yv8jf Yeah, Cuisinart has accessories/combo machines for all that except for cutting French fries. There's no practical way to combine a French fry cutter into a food processor that would appeal to consumers.

      But I heard that the Breville Sous Chef food processor cuts french fries but it does not spiralize or ribbons. It looks okay to me. But again the problem is that the makers do not want progress, don't want to add extra functions, don't want to redesign anything. We need a new company to tap into that and change the food processor game forever. I never used to juice but now I do with my Nama J2. I never used to make smoothies, fruit ice cream, and salad dressings but now I do with my Vitamix. If only I could find a food processor that spiralizes, ribbons, dices, slices, shreds, chops, and french fry cuts, peels, etc, I would be happy. I'm sure a great mind somewhere can design such a machine just like Nama changed the juicer. This is more reason why I resent spending money on these stagnant food processors just like I held out buying a juicer UNTIL the Nama J2 came along. It is really sad because I want a food processor that has not been made yet. I will continue to use my knife until a miracle food processor comes along 🙏🤞.

      @@SomeOne-yv8jfI like the way the Breville Sous Chef peels potatoes. That's really cool. But the way it cuts French fries is below a standard I'm willing to go. Nothing wrong with the machine, just my preference.
      I feel like you can only go so far with integration with harming the quality of certain functions or making the device too big. This Nama C2 is definitely pushing it in terms of size and weight.
      I love what Kitchen-Aid, Cuisinart, and now Nama have done for home-cooking and nutrition.

      Nama Juicers are not copies of Hurom Juicers. In my opinion, they are improvements on the hurom machines (See my Nama vs Hurom comparison videos). While Nama has a close partnership with Hurom to manufacturer their juicers in Hurom's world-class manufacturing facilities, Nama has their own engineers to design their machines to their exact specifications.
